Seen that Tyreece Simpson has told Ipswich that he wants to leave but a quick search discovered that he's wanted by a host of league clubs.

A leader at the back, a fitter and more consistent upgrading on Gunning. Someone of the Blatherwick mould.
Midfielders with pace and an eye for goal. Also someone with vision and creativity.
A pacy frontman to assist Kabby up front.
More strength in depth, not just bodies. Someone capable of coming in and putting pressure on the first 11. Too many not good enoughs and never wills in this squad sadly.

The best striker in the league got injured and one of the best central midfielders in the league began suffering frequent episodes of the same recurring injury. Their quality was masking some of the issues we have with the wider squad.

Mark McNulty.
Currently on loan at Dundee United from parent club Reading.
Out of contract now and wishing to return to this area.

CM is going to be interesting as we are desperate for a new CM pairing.

A proper Paul Cook signing, doubt we could afford him?

I think he tried, He managed to get him to Portsmouth the season after, along with Lavery.
I’ve just had a look at where’s he’s been the last few years, turns out he might not be unrealistic after all.

Reading signed him from Cov if memory serves right but have loaned him out to the SPL. He was pretty prolific for Coventry in League 2 and would no doubt score goals at this level.
Question is - going into the summer we have 3 strikers on the books with a year or more left on their contracts:
Tshimanga - Rowe - Asante
All of these will be on decent money. Given Cook likes to play 1 up top. Is it sensible to push the boat out for McNulty given his likely wage demands? If he does come in, I can see both Rowe and Asante being moved on to free up the funds.

If they'll agree to go.
