Encouraging. Let's put some cash on the table for him; Morsey and him are the best centre mid partnership I have seen here. Let's not mess him about and get him tied down.

He gives us hope doesn't he? (Although I recall Marc Richards saying almost the same thing the very week he later signed for Northampton).
I really hope he signs for another two seasons after this. We would be really set fair then.

It's about opinions, but for me there is a huge difference: I wanted Richards to leave and I want Ryan to stay.
These go to eleven.

100% agree. I am just pointing out words mean nothing, its that dotted line that counts.

I agree, and it is money that determines whether it gets to the dotted line. I don't know what Jimmy earns- perhaps he's not one of the higher earners as he joined on a free having been released by another club at a similar level- but his importance is such that he deserves to be among the top earners at the club now.
These go to eleven.

I get the feeling the timing of the interview with Jimmy and what he's said means we've now offered him acceptable terms, would hate to be wrong

Come on Jimmy lad, get signed up. I'll sort you a proper Bakewell pudding every week as part of the deal.

I think it's all abour reassuring Jimmy that a new offer will be on the table but he can't have any new money until the new financial year - which he might well find a bit unsettling if he doesn't trust people. Just guessing though.

no reason for us to delay an offer, the additional funds from the club run will pay for it

I agree but does dave allen!

However I've still got a nagging doubt that he will run his contract down and leave for free in the summer....but I hope I am very very wrong!
