His CV isn't the best. Not like us to judge a player before he's even played though.

Would be a strange one- a 30 year centre back? Raglan to be sold? Made up story?

I hope he's left sided, if so it fills a big void in the squad.

From the Sky Sports Transfer Centre section of their website:

Quote

CHESTERFIELD WANT McPAKE

Sky Sources understand that Chesterfield are interested in signing Dundee centre half James McPake, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

McPake has made 24 appearances for the SPL side this season.

No surprises.

We're currently short of a CB. We only have 3 since Georg went back. If one gets injured we'd be dangerously thin in that area.

I just wish we'd sign a striker too.

If he was McPike, I'd have said tartare.

Anyhow, how do we know he's rubbish? Has anyone seen much of him? The quality of players in the SPL is often really hard to pin down- Steven Fletcher scored a few up there but then so did Dave Clarkson.

Watched him play a fair few times for hibs and can't imagine he would add anything to our squad. Certainly no better than what we have.

Isn't it annoying CFC being interested in a player whose name you can't make puns from.

And what if we get an injury to "what we already have." If he's as good as what we've already got he'll fit in nicely

If we get an injury to one or two of the current three we have then we're left with Broadhead who is clearly not in Cook's plans.
