Incorrect Spire 78. But for the attendance limit being reduced by Nottinghamshire County Council's Safety Advisory Group (SAG) and Notts Plod i'm absolutely certain that we would have exceeded that against Liverpool in the FA Cup for example. No "wild dreaming" required.

Ban is immediate.

They also lost an influencing player to injury - awful tackle from behind apparently.

Rhead is a carthorse, but effective non the less.
It's pleasing on the eye because they are well drilled and organised. They also press quick and get tight on the opposition when not in possession and tackle hard.
If you chucked a couple of quality players in the Lincon side (example being a more mobile front man and a quick winger IMO) they be a really good side.
Ipswich have been dog egg TBH. expected a bit more from the Championship side

"Pleasing on the eye"??????

I thought the game was abysmal. Big boot, long ball, not "pleasing on the eye" at all.

Only thing was that Lincoln were better at it than Ipswich - possibly because they practice it more!!!!

Agreed. It was a tough watch. The last minute goal was celebrated in my house, not because I wanted Lincoln to win particularly, but so we didn't have to endure a dreary extra time.

Coulda woulda shoulda. The fact is SAG closed parts of your ground because it's an unsafe hole. Maybe when you own your own ground you can get it sorted?

Really?

I wonder if we've dodged a bullet.

It's the first time I've seen their Lincoln side, but it looks to me like your basic, bog-standard hoofball-and-muscle outfit.

They've got that lumbering oaf Rhead who used to turn out at Field Mill up front, someone who forced my lifelong Stag mate to boycott games because the football had become so ugly, which kinda gives a clue what they're all about.

Then they've not only the proverbial long throw specialist but pretty much overfly midfield.

It's effective, as proven by our little neighbours' promotion using those tactics, yet ultimately self defeating.

By the way, perhaps more prevalent to ourselves, Saturday's opponents Wimbledon have had a defender sent off. Could those knowing such stuff confirm if he's banned at the weekend or not?

Didn't see this game but I have seen them previously on two occassions, big boot pragmatists both times so it wasn't a one off

Those having a pop at Wilson and Saunders for being dinosaurs would have a field day, or would they if it turned out to be successful

Wrong again. The attendance cap by SAG was restricted because of crowd trouble and nothing to do with the Bishop Street Stand.

Happy to help

Oh fine then, lets just base the attendance argument on hypotheticals. Your argument is moot because CFC could have sold 20k tickets if they had just built a stadium big enough.

Do you see yet how asinine your argument is?

For that to be true the comment about being able to sell 9,000 tickets without putting people in a condemned stand would have had to have been incorrect.

However it isn't.

There's 9,000 seats available without the Bishop St Stand being called into the equation. 2000 in each end and 6,000 in the main stand = 10,000.

The restriction on the capacity has nothing to do with the Bishop St Stand at all, which only held 400 anyway.

The asininity therefore is all yours.

You ever see that bit in Good Will Hunting where Will gets Robin Williams all angry and then later in the park he tells Will that he realised something and fell fast asleep?

Well I find your posts have had a similar effect on me, firstly I was annoyed at your trolling attempts and my natural tribalism response was to defend Chesterfield FC but then came the realisation that you are a Mansfield fan, now wonder you are so angry and stupid. Getting upset at your comments would be like getting upset at a puppy who did a dump in the plant pot by accident, completely pointless as this is just what puppies do.

When you have been in someone's shadow for so long one cant help but to look for any glimmer of light to try and claim superiority. Despite everything going on at Chesterfield FC we are superior in every metric you wish to compare. No wonder you are so petulant and lashing out at this cruel world. I'm going to just ignore you now as in all honesty I feel a bit sorry for you as at least in my analogy the puppy will grow up and learn some self control whereas i fear you will be forever proverbially crapping in your mother's geraniums.
