I'd say it's recognition of how he's 'run rings 'round' and kept us lot 'in the dark'...

Simply an attempted con.

Exactly Dave,I can't put on here what I think of this shower that's mis-managing our club, the day can't come quick enough when we see the back end of this lot.

Unless it's going to involve all the scouting and opponent watching, I reckon it should be part time. It surely can't involve commissions on sales as that will lead to conflict with the new manager who MUST call all the shots.

It's a pity he made a complete bollux of the DC as that could by now have been providing him with plenty of meaningful work and the club with some good young players. Anybody know what his relationship with Mark Smith is like?

I have it on very good authority that he really is a talented assett that the club cannot afford to loose.

I am also assured by the same source that Jose Mouriniho has been offered the managers job with a take over by North Korean business men at an advanced stage

I wonder if a change of role brought with it a change of contract terms too?

Increased severance pay? (assuming new owners come in and pull the plug? - DA 'sorting his mate out')

Change to the transfer fee % bonus?

Do you think this could have been what DW was insinuating when he said that he had received bad news from the board ?

maybe, or was that bad news that there is no interest in SEB so he's coming back and he needs to be involved as we can't afford to pay him not to play.

I'm sure that like others I would rather his services with the club be terminated as this is what he seems to deserve. However, and I've no experience of being a Director of Football, given his experiences in the game he is eminently better suited to this role than CEO? Hopefully, a different CEO (who understands the little things like finance, balance sheets and monitors the performance of staff) can sort out the s**t that Turner has left as his legacy.

He should have been booted up the bypass, end of. If we wanted to replace the manager AND have a director of football then Wilson should have been moved upstairs. He's a man with far greater integrity and decency than the swede, knows the game, has the contacts etc.

Who'd have thought we're losing 1-2 million pounds a year and we can't afford to bring any more players in to try to stave off the impending relegation, but we can afford a high salaried CEO, that brings us what exactly?? If it wasn't CFC I wouldn't believe it :glare:

ok, now from memory we've never had a director of football before in our 150 year history, so what does a DOF do exactly?

Having a DOF could put a few potential applicants off applying for the managers job as some will want total control.

The ideal model is here, I believe. One philosophy behind all recruitment, no matter who the manager is.

Edit: Not for one minute do I think that's what's behind our new 'appointment'

What I want to know is that if he was doing such a damn fine job as CEO, according to some, why has he been moved?

Relinquishing CT of his role as CEO is basically saying he was poor at his job, therefore why not just sack him. Possibly some nest feathering going on. Not sure where HR sits on this where someone is given a role that no one else had the opportunity to apply for.

So who's going to count up the petty cash now. They need to rethink this.
