Just thought the exact same thing haha. The unpleasant vision of him sat at home in his under pants and a stained vest eating a pie, scouting players for Mansfield off Football manager.

Well according to your new manager he scouted Chesterfield on the internet lol. Young Gary said:

Sounds like a bright young chap who has prepared well for his new role and made sensible use of modern technology.

On the photo is that one of those fancy sun lamp type things they use to promote growth in the grass?

LOL I knew Evans would be welcomed like one of your own simply because he fits the profile of all Mansfield folk both male and female. I do believe your chairman's team will win promotion this year.
Up the rovers.

Awww bless. The facts are that although he's very good friends with John Ryan the owner of DRFC St John Radford aka Our Saviour is a Mansfield fan, born and bred.
Dave Allen and Chris Turner on the other hand both support Sheffield Wednesday, however. It's just a business to them, I don't think they don't care about Chesterfield fans very much.

You'd have to ask him that Arma. You tell me how do Burton Albion manage on average crowds of 5k in The Championship?

Fleetwoods owner does a back door business strategy. Not against the rules per se.I guess Burton are one of the exception to the rule by just being well run and of course having everything in place that comes together ending up a success. Do you think you will see enough of a crowds increase as much as you think and do you think this is based on a projected crowd increase?
Which route do you think you will take?
The signing of couthirst is a good signing imo.

I think Radford has a similar strategy. He owns Green energy power solutions which i think is run from Field Mill.
There's more than one way to skin the salary cap cat.

Yeah Roma we've just signed Shaquile Coulthirst from Peterboro' until end of the season. That's 6 so far this January. How's it going over there?

...and released someone called Clements to accommodate the move.

So, that might be six in but it's also six out.

Classic Evans, but hardly the Radford revolution you're getting yourself so giddy over.

As for ourselves I reckon the two week break will offer the new man an opportunity to work on his squad, in terms of both training and turnover.

We've a couple or three lads nearing a return from long term injury, too.

Notice I don't make any of the playground standard claims you're intent on trolling, though.

But then we only have to finish twentieth in this division to surpass anything your little club's done for over a quarter century and prove you hilariously wrong all over again...

Don't quite understand how this is a bad thing. Evans has shipped out 6 below league 2 standard players and replaced them with what looks so far like a higher quality of player. So has been prudent enough to improve the squad by quite a bit with probably not much of a hike in wages.

If this is classic Evans then long may it continue.

If that's the case then it's terrific management, my friend.

Unfortunately your mate 'Wooly' indulges in mindless trolling instead of making such reasonable points.

With the players you have and the players you have brought in I don't think you need to be worried about the salary cap.

It's alright banging on about the players you have signed but they are hardly world beaters

The players he brings in will be worse than the ones going out

I'll take you up on the bet mate. I know it's stupid o'clock and it might not seem genuine, but lets have it.

My terms are not next season though, season after. I bet that mtfc will finish in a higher league position than chesterfield at the end of the 18/19 season.

£100 to a good cause.

You're not very good at this trolling lark, are you.

Y'see for your taunts to have any kinda impact they have to contain at least an element of truth.

Here's another thing, too: I reckon it's fair to conclude that owner you reckon hates us so much has given the new boss assurances over funding, in terms of both player recruitment and the Club's future. Caldwell was never gonna sign up to the gig without 'em. So it wouldn't surprise me if there're a couple of arrivals at our's over and above the 'one in, one out' Steve 'Mr Mascara' Evans has thus far delivered at your's.

So please, be my guest, keep turning up on here and rubbing your ball like some third-rate seaside fortune teller. Because - and here's the best thing of all - your half-assed trolling usually coincides with an up-turn in our form!

 youth.
