as we creep towards the opening of the window, what do we realistically expect to see happening in terms of ins and outs? obviously the off field issues very much skew "normal" activity.
anyway thought i'd leave this here for all rumours, opinions and such like.
carsons latest interview suggested that relegation must be avoided, well January has then to see us improve the playing squad...

Relegation is almost a certainty the squad as a whole are not even close to staying up

Sadly agree.

I can only see a couple of loans coming in with a few unattached players past their prime to make up numbers wise until the end of the season.

Not one for January as I think he is on a season-long loan but I saw a young lad named Sam Surridge playing up front for Poole Town and he looks the business for his age (17 or 18). Quick, bright, persistent, intelligent, tall, strong enough (he will fill out more) and can really finish. He's on loan to Poole from Bournemouth- they probably wouldn't sell him yet but he may be a good loan acquisition when we are in the basement if he'll come north for a bit.
These go to eleven.

looking at it now, I would say that cook will probably offer a 50k fee for o'shea to try and get them in the auto positions, maybe Donny will offer a similar fee to bring back hird?
gboly, honestly don't see anyone really offering at the moment and even ched evans, to be truthful i'm not sure anyone will be that bothered.

Two suggested scenarios based upon nothing more than my own suspicion and cynicism.

(1) Dave Allen returns as some 'white knight' pledging to support the Manager and, perhaps, sacrificing a CEO on whom blame for all our problems is heaped.

(2) Dave Allen adopts what might be termed a 'scorched earth' policy recouping every possible penny before selling what's left of the Club.

Releasing SEB means paying up the rest of his contract, so doesn't free any money up to get anyone in

Isn't it fair to assume that when a player is payed up early, there is mutual benifit to both parties?

However the fact that SEB is unlikely to be sought after presumably means any financial benifit will be minimal

Portsmouth to offer us a nominal fee plus Gary Roberts?

To be honest I would take any possible opportunity to get him out of the club, without question one of the most disappointing signings I have seen in nearly 40 years.
His attitude stinks and he doesn't seem to care about playing football.
