Just read the pathetic fans quote from Allen. I'm staying away from the Blades game now and urge all fellow pathetic town fans to do the same for this match. Post it to all friends on Facebook Twitter etc. Ill watch the game in the Boythorpe and give my and my lads ticket money to the landlord who knows how to treat his customers!!😡😡

Totally agree tedspireite, staying away will have no impact on the powers that be for this televised game. Banners, chants and car park protests will.

Page one of the accounts in the Chairman's Statement;

'This club does seem to have one or two so called fans who are always knocking anything we try to do. I find it pathetic and the Derbyshire Times doesn't help'

That should do the trick Mr Allen!!

I think Chris's idea is the best one. Get behind the team, enjoy the football if possible, but boycott concourse, 50-50 draw, and club shop purchases, and all club organised functions.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

made me chuckle when he said he dosnt understand the fall in attendences as we are playing attractive football, erm not in the last couple of months we havnt ! doubt he will ammend that statement though! only the fans seem bothered about our club at the moment. i been going for 40 years, live in manchester now , season ticket holder but for the first time am seriously thinking of not coming over for the sheff utd game. We will be hammered and embarrassed on tv.

Is the end game here to get Uncle Dave to sell the club? If so, does anybody have a multi millionaire in mind looking to blow their hard earned cash?

An actual fan of the club would be good! One who run it soundly, and maybe loan money without taking interest payments back(fan) saving the club around 250k PA. That would get the debt down.
Is there anyone out there not short of a bob or 2?

Only one thing will have any effect: Dont show up. Dont put any money over the counter for ale and grub etc. You can wear all the masks and sing all the songs you want, but if you're in the ground and (presumably) cheering when we score then D.A.lek can claim that alls well and majority of the fans are with him.

Cameras will be outside the ground.

Any banners should be behind the goals - there should be plenty of camera shots when united are kicking towards our kop.

The over riding protest should be to stay away.

A banner on the kop would be great.

Listening to some on the forum this is all quite easy to sort out. We just need someone to buy out Dave Allen. Someone who:

... is prepared to take over a declining football club.
... is prepared to 'invest' circa £9 million interest-free or at very low interest and accept they won't see much of their investment back.
... is prepared to take over a business (club) that has increasing debts despite recent on-field successes and record player sales.
... Oh, and is a Chesterfield fan.

Not sure how many CFC-supporting multi-millionaires are out there; anyone checked the listings in Forbes? I think we need to wake up and smell the coffee if we think there are people aching to take over the current shambles. Would you???

I personally, would like DA to get rid of Turner and employ a CEO that understands 'business' in order to make CFC viable - after all this is in DA's best interests.

If we drop into Div 2 in order to achieve this and have to stay there a few years to sort out the finances so be it. To me this is much more favourable than the Club ceasing to exist. We're in a real poop state!

You do that, it will undoubtedly hurt the club and not Dave Allen, Turner et all.
A visionary protest during the match aimed towards the powers that be would gain more publicity than any protest outside prior to kick off. The problem with a banner on the kop would be trying to gain entry with it, let's not forget that whilst we talk amongst ourselves on here "big brother" is watching us so if the idea is to unravel a banner (which would be an embarrassment for them) then they stop the protest at source and confiscate it before it's even got chance to see the light of day.
How's about this?
A few clubs supporters have done a red card protest against boards decisions, yes, it's been done a few times but even if any football supporter who is watching the match with the sound off would know it to be a protest. Point it towards the directors box. It's easy to get it into the ground aswell. That is the visionary side of it.
Whilst showing the red cards sing "Where's our money gone?" to the tune of "Where's your caravan?" That can be heared over the tv for the people watching it, let's not forget that this match is gonna be on radio aswell so it goes out over the airwaves.
That would embarrass the board.

The issue with any protest mid game will undoubtedly have an adverse effect on the players.

Pre match/Pre Kick off/Half Time/Post match would surely be better?

I'll start protesting once I know one of the protesters has enough money to buy DA out. What will we do if he pulls out and we have no backers?I agree with most people that the Club is heading for ruin but we need big investers if we are to move forward without the Sheffield mafia as they are called.

Just stay away for once - show the board we are together for once.
