Diego is a fan, he's a regular in the West Stand, even when Shef Utd were playing.

That's the worrying bit, he wasn't deemed good enough to get anywhere near their first team squad on match day

Imagine we sign him. He and Evans hit it off massively and score 15+ each by Christmas. We sell them for a million each in January. That would wind them up.

When I click my fingers, you're back in the room

When you read things about him, ability doesn't sound like the issue, application and attitude are what keep getting questioned.

Talk of a juve aside, he did get in the Italian u18, u9 and u20.

There has been plenty of England youngsters that haven't made a professional career as an adult, so it doesn't mean everything.

So we are saying he hasn't made the grade at the Blades, he's had uninspiring loan spells in a lower league and you're suggesting he has an attitude and application problem, he sounds like a gem. We signed the other lad from Sheffield on a 2 year deal, that looked for the main part well short of the standard and we have only taken this one on trial. If he wasn't from town would anybody be suggesting we sign him?

I don't actually know anything about him but his reputation isn't based on what he's done so far.

Me too. Are we doing the right thing, when he could always be away on international duty?

It's Chesterfield Football club you support not the numpties in County cricket!

Unless he doesn't get in the team, as I understand they've then promised to loan him out

But can only happen in the transfer window now though. So could be a frustrating Autumn early winter?

I don't think he's a fan of any team other than Italian ones. I know his agent is Reevesy, Conor Dimaio and him both played together at Brampton Rovers, and he's mates with Charlie Dawes. That'll be why he attends a few games I would have thought?

Harsh comment to be honest. He was only offering up an opinion which was of interest to absolutely no one

Diego's family are long term Chesterfield supporters.
