Or maybe supporters getting a little precious as usual.

If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen, it works both ways doesn't it?

Be careful of what you wish for. Is the old saying isn't it.

Who's wishing for anything? He's just coming across as unnecessarily tetchy at a time that he himself has a big part to play in creating a 100% positive environment.

Well, yes, there may be an issue of being too precious, but equally, there's a bit of blarney going on here.

If 99.9% of fans are great in Cook's mind, then the 0.1% that aren't is such a tiny proportion that making critical comments on his part seems petty. That 0.1% can't possibly have any effect on events because they would be so out of tune with anyone else.

The '99.9% comment' is designed I think to balance the fact that Cook obviously is a bit mardy that there has been a degree of vocal discontent, but doesn't want to alienate the fans whilst getting his moan out there. It's the way a lot of managers talk.

It may be more honest of him to say "86.8% of fans are great, 13.2% of fans are bell ends" but then I don't want to put words in his mouth....

there are people on here who know where the manager likes a pint on a Friday night. The more the consumption, the more the dutch courage, and the more extreme the views get.

Not many may agree with me, but I hope we go back to 4-2-3-1 as we don't want to engage them in an open game of football. They are no mugs and have turned over handsomely top teams including big wins against Fleetwood and Scunny. Open football could be disastrous especially as we don't score too freely (consistently, but not freely) and we always seem likely to concede at the other end having defended well. Control and Containment would be my strategy with hopefully a bit more penetration than of late. Keep the ball well and they can't hurt us. The goal(s) usually come, just need patients. Open up and I fear we could play into their hands. 4-4-2 worked against a poor Hartlepool side (that summary is from their own fans), will it work again? and again? I've got my doubts, as it's not as simple as many seem to think. I just hope PC is being true to himself and doesn't listen to anyone only those who he gave jobs to and the maybe the players.

I've been flued up all week and I've spent most of the day in bed asleep (if I'm like I've been today then I don't think I can go :angry ). I just hope I feel a bit better tomorrow because I don't want to miss this one (I've already offered my season ticket to my mates lad as a standby before the vultures start circling  )

I thought Cook said hopefully? With Drew's record with this one I'm not taking nothing for granted as yet.

So do I. I thought it was noticeable even from the Exhights that Marc Richards didn't contribute much. I'd have expected him to get on the end of summat, even if he didn't score. I won't be offended if somebody that went says I talk bollux. In any event, PC might be thinking that it's improbable that Rico will have 2 quiet games in succession.

If 99.9% of fans are brilliant and we get 5000 crowds its only 5 fans that are bad ....id say cooky is actually giving a compliment to the crowd

If he spent the same proportional amount of time of his recent interviews talking about those fans, it would be only 0.18 seconds.

At 13.2% that's 660 of the 5000. then again I am failing to see where the 13.2% came from! Must be Thursday is the new Friday for a few beers!

Have a strong suspicion that Roberts will be brought back in for Gardner and perhaps Humphries for Smith also.
