But we always seem to look worse and even worse open as side for the opposition to exploit! I was nervous before, though I'm really nervous about this one now. I just open that for once we put in a decent showing with this formation or at least fluke the points (something that we never do either  )

To much going off behind the scenes to be confident whatever team and formation we play at the minute

I've seen nothing of Rico and Doyle as either 'a two' or as 'a partnership' to suggest this one is a good idea, though at least we've got some natural pace in the side with this and you can't accuse Cook of not going for it (though if we do lose the same people will be having a go no doubt). Me, personally I wouldn't have change anything and just brought in Togwell for Ryan.

Bit of a gamble this one and personally I don’t agree with those that say we should go for it (well I do, but not this way, same as usual but with risking a little more) as the formation leaves us more susceptible in the middle of the park, we are playing with two inferior strikers at the expense of better midfielders and I’m not sure if bringing in Smith, Gardner, Hird and Rico all in one go for such an important game is a gamble too far, when all that was required is Tog’s or Hird for the suspended Ryan.
I just hope his gamble pays off as we could really be in the mire come 5 O’clock and if so then Cook’s a genius

Not forgetting that Banks is out for rest of season & Ryan's suspended.

Hi,

Just to clear that up,

If you were listening online then you will have heard music from just after three o'clock as we switched sport mode on while the game is on which plays music.

On air we observed the minute's silence as everyone else did.

hope that makes sense.

cheers,

Tom

Seem to remember this happening once before. Something to do with an automated system that plays music if it thinks it detects a transmission problem. Oops!

Better for him to be out playing rather than sitting on our bench

A fair point, but the whole Devitt issue leaves me scratching my head.

We signed him, but barely played him. Fair enough as it appeared we'd better options given our formation. However to extend his deal before sending him out on loan? To sign Kearns instead of bringing back a player winning plaudits in the same league? To include a youngster on the bench when it could be that proven player? The way I see it we've five games to save our season - Devitt should be helping us do that rather than Morecambe finish mid-table.

(Please ignore this post if he's part of a Shrimpers side who take points off Fleetwood today.)

Tom

The minute silence on the radio was interrupted by playing music, an error of judgement by someone at Peak.

Sorry mate, you didn't!

After about 45 seconds you cut into music, which then stopped abrubtly when you returned to Hartlepool feed just as crowd started to applaud at end of silence.

I agree totally what you are saying though I thought that and daft as it sounds if he was unlikely to get pitch time for us then this could well be a big factor in this.

Apologies if that's what was played on air, I was listening in the studio and never heard it. It is an emergency back up track intended for when we go off air for a power cut.

I didn't hear it going out but apologies to anyone who did.

Fleetwood winning.

Why is confidence so low? Burton and Fleetwood have goalscorers, we don't.
