Just a reminder, the next meeting is due on Saturday 15th March. Any issues you want raising, either post here or email one of the fans group

Marcia not an issue but a suggestion if I may.

I see other clubs trying initiatives to get bigger home crowds, reward fans for their loyalty etc, would it be possible for CFC to encourage more of our fans to travel to away games by offering money off a home ticket for those producing an away ticket stub?

Those season ticket holders that travel away can produce the last away stub for the same discount in the concourses or such like.

Might be a non-starter but anything that will encourage support home or away can't be a bad thing.

Its been brought up in the past but putting a system in place for this season won't happen I don't think. Next season though is a possibility. A loyalty scheme is something I really wanted to help implement from when I first applied to be on the forum. Really hope the club find a way of making it work...Like you say other clubs do it!

Marcia, could it possibly be raised about potentially arranging a pre season friendly with our twinned towns? Little trip abroad for the fans

Brightening up the concourses with murals/ canvas prints of past glories/players/Saltergate etc. - It can't be hard to find sponsorship for this?

We have raised this issue at the last 3 meetings, saying asking jpt for paint sponsorship and asking for volunteers to paint the concourses. We will ask again at the next meeting.

It is, believe me. Any fan money-raising at present will be attached to the Memorial Garden which will in part be a celebration of Saltergate.

I also have plans for the walls of the East Stand concourse as part of a wider funded project.

The Club's a £6M business! Did the Club ask for volunteers to paint the lounges, install the IT systems, etc?

That's not a dig at you, Marcia, it's directed at those wanting volunteers to come forward!

I appreciate that we all have different views, but given Turner's position, a flag pole would rank about 997/1000 in terms of priorities!

Canvas prints of Saltergate, past players, famous moments etc. These prints cost buttons, and I'm sure the club could find sponsors for each image to cover the minimal cost of the canvas print and the hanging of it on the concourse area.

How about a space for a gallery of artwork from local schoolkids - which can be changed around periodically? Simple perspex casing over a noticeboard jobby (like you can see in local churchyards, village halls and suchlike).

Club crests (past and present on the floors of the concourses).

There's loads of things that could be done to brighten up what are really dull and drab surrounds at present.

Perhaps a customer relations course for the growler in the ticket office too! :)

I'm sure the local artist, whom the club have commissioned on many occasions, would be happy to provide enlarge prints of some of his work, I'm return for added advertising space for his business

James Muddiman is his name, and I have some of his work, and it's excellent.

Just to let you all know the next meeting is 16th August. If you have any questions, suggestions etc feel free to ask myself or one of the other members of the group and we'll do our best to pass it on for you. I will say do not expect an answer straight away as we have to wait for the minutes to be produced.
