Yes, away fans are now behind the goal - but there are two blocks available in the Midland Road Stand if there is potential for overspill.

Big game this for both clubs.

With our FA Cup shenanigans behind us, focusing on the the bread and butter stuff has taken full priority.

Probably like yourselves, we're not playing well at all - but still find ourselves right in the mix. I think this goes to show how weak L1 is this campaign. Tbh, we haven't even played well all season - distinctly average at best - and yet we've lost so many points in the last 5 mins of games, of which if we'd have seen them out, we would've been sitting comfortably in the auto places.

A few things to expect from this game. The pitch; whilst it isn't great, it's not as if it's completely unplayable - of which is muttered from opposing fans every other week. Some seem to think we've purposely allowed our pitch to get so bad, when in reality, bad weather coinciding with high stands (limited sunlight) and endless run of games at VP is the real reason behind it.

HOOF; apparently, this is all we do - like, alllll game. Couldn't be more far from the truth. We have some fantastic ball players with great technical ability - and TBH, I wish we played to their strengths more often than not.

Right then, the game itself. I expect us to line up like so;

GK: Ben Williams

RB: Stephen Darby
CB: Rory McArdle
CB: Gary McKenzie
LB: James Meredith

RM: Christophe Routis
CM: Gary Liddle
LM: Mark Yeates

CAM: Billy Clarke

ST: Jon Stead
ST: James Hanson

Subs;
Jak Alnwick
Tony McMahon
Billy Knott
Francios Zoko
Andy Haliday
Motley- Henry

I'd probably take a draw - but I feel it could be 1-0 to either side.

Likely to bring many?

Seeing as you are not being a prat - we will probably bring 400 midweekers, I couldn't offer any view on how we will play apart from the fact that we seem short of a finisher big time.

Stead has always been a thorn in our side and I expect it to continue.

A sad time this one as we remember Big Alan who sadly collapsed and died at the last midweek game.

God I hate this league.

We were in the pub down the road when he sadly died. Kindly, a photographer (and a Mansfield fan) framed a picture of the away fans from the previous game at Lincoln which would have been his final game.

I took it round to his wife a couple of weeks after.

There could well be fireworks on Tuesday night.Chesterfield are just a team of thugs. I expect a few bookings and maybe a red card or two. From the league highlights I have seen of them, they like to fall down quickly when gently tackled if you get my drift.

erm, my memory of the game here was of them doing exactly that in a concerted (and successful) effort to get Morsy sent off. Cheating is what I'd call their performance that day. And don't get me started on their time wasting tactics - against ten men!!! their keeper should have been sent off for it

Bradford's first goal v Oldham on the weekend is the most Bradford goal ever.

Sorry a crap post

I was asking should our travelling fans expect the usual "bradfud welcome"?

I then got giddy thinking of the prospects of leaving the ground if we should get a 90th minute winner

Firthy, I understand we are back in the stand behind the goal the TL Dallas stand but the turnstiles are on Midland Road.

In the past we have parked on the waste ground on Midland Road just past the stadium does anyone know if that is still available for match day parking or where else is best to park not a million miles from the turnstiles?

Thanks

Yes, that is indeed correct.

You'll be pleased to know that particular area is currently available for supporters to use - however, you must arrive relatively early.

Failing that, I wouldn't advise you to park anywhere around the ground, as the number of car break-ins is staggering. I would advise you to park in the town centre if possible - there are numerous secure car parks available.

Last time we went we parked on a side street off the main road and went in a ropey pub on a corner.
