Its not necessairly the scores as i can get them from the screens in the concourse but i guess in the modern age i am used to being able to access my phone apps (google, high5it, etc) which require WiFi/data usage from wherever I am. I see JonB has mentioned his other half having problems with O2. I am on 02 also and nearly everygame i cannot access any app requiring data usage...perhaps i need to consider changing network providor!

The WiFi and bookies (i know they have both been trialled) were actually both tongue in cheek to add to Azul's perfect list to give the ultimate concourse setting!

well don't go for orange or t mobile or ee cos I get nothing on them either

Not being funny folks, but why on earth do you need Internet access on a phone when you've gone to watch a game?

I think folk do like to look at other scores on phones or read things at half time, pre game etc. One issue is that so many people concentrated in on area will swamp a cell tower and cause issues for folk getting a data signal as the tower doesnt have the bandwidth to cope and it will vary massively dependant on the phone network. Last two games i've been with my other half who has been unable to do anything via data on her iPhone on O2 whilst my iPhone on 3 has been working fine. This said they would have to be very sure they have the bandwidth in the same way for any Wifi installation to cope with x thousand of folk connecting at the same time!

Market forces will have an impact on this too:

How to improve the concourses.

1. Stop them looking like the inside of a prison for starters.
2. Please can we have someone who can serve faster than the pace of "an asthmatic ant with heavy shopping"
3. Remove the horrific amount of gas from the beer.
4. Make it warmer - it's B****Y freezing all the time down there.
5. Ignore all of above and build a supporters bar.

Lol
To be fair they are the only pubs down here that seem to be surviving.
So many pubs closing down nowadays

Do we get feedback about the feedback or is it a one way communication?

I am not surprised as they seem less busy by the game.

The last two games the East Stand has been like a morgue before the game. I guess the novelty has worn off and they are hardly the most welcoming place to visit when there are so many pubs around the area where you can drink out a glass

Toilets cramped and overcrowded

I'd expect and announcement soon about changes to the match day experience available to the majority of home fans.

As its been discussed on this thread, I thought it worth mentioning that the icing on the cake from Tuesday's game was the presence of glorious 4G on O2.

I'm guessing the transmitters have been upgraded around the 'Moor as its virtually at full signal all the time, and currently giving an average speed of 22Mbps download, and 20Mbps upload speed.

I can see how badly my bets are doing real time again.

I wonder if that impacted on my being able to get a 3G signal throughout the whole of Tuesday's match. Was able to keep up with the other scores much more successfully than usual.

Possibly freed up some of the 3G bandwidth if folk were using the 4G one instead....not 100% sure though.

I think there needs to be a uniform worn by the concourse staff. It's not expensive to furnish staff with CFC Polo shirts.
