Wembley prices are a rip-off but, even so, I am sure if we were in such a play-off our following would almost guarantee a bigger crowd than today's.

I went today - family thing for an interest. With Shrews fans. Wasn't impressed with the game They were charging £2.50-£3.00 for a glass of tap water for dehydrated fans at extra time. Truly shocking side of er..."capitalism." The Roberts/Clucas team would have given both these a run.

Just read on the BBC website that todays crowd of 26,218 is the lowest ever in the 28 years of play-off finals at third-tier level.

Shocking support really considering whats at stake.

That really is unbelievably poor. You’d expect one of them to be touching that alone!
Shrews only went last month mind. How many did they take then?

We took twenty thousand-plus to the JPT Final when being relegated from L1 yet, bizarrely, only just over fifteen thousand when in the process of winning L2.

Never could work that one out.

That said today's is still a poor turnout under the circumstances.

Novelty value, simple

What I find amazing is that EFL Trophy finals often seem to attract more than playoff games. Guess that playoff finals are't for day trippers

What were our attendances at the two playoff finals in the 90s?

So probably around 13000 for each of them. There certainly weren't many from Bury on the second occasion

Very few indeed. It was a long time ago but I recall them only having a few on the side. We went at least 2/3 of the way around the end as our tickets were about the furthest around before it became empty.
