No failure/minimum achievement clause

Sorry mate, but how are getting this info now that AC has "left" the building and no longer has you on speed dial?

I get you. I don't suppose he'd have come without a copper bottomed financial arrangement to cover him in all situations.
Hopefully the Martin Allen experience should have brought DA down to earth and made him realise he hasn't got the midas touch when it comes to choosing managers.

However what he should have done and I believe didn't, because of the above, which is a repeated mistake this club has made time over, is build in a minimum performance clause into the managers contract so he could be released if it wasn't met e.g. top half of table at the half way point of the season. This of course would need to be balanced so a manager significantly over achieving the minimum target gets rewarded which should be self financing.

If a manager taking on a job and agreeing a playing budget can't agree to this then he hasn't passed the interview in my book.

I put this point to Graham Bean last week asking if we did need to change managers then I believe this has to be the way forward, he didn't disagree.
The failure to do the above again !! is why we are in the shit

Looks like we now have to rely on Sheridan having a bit of pride or shame or a conscience to resign rather than sit around waiting to be sacked and enjoy a huge payoff that would cripple a fans consortium immediately.
Suggestions on how us fans can persuade him to do that. Would torrents of abuse from the admittedly few left in the ground do it? I dunno. He’s obviously as thick skinned as his boss so maybe goes home at night and shrugs it all off. We are in a pickle.

Is this confirmed by Carson as it's common practice and I can't imagine there isn't a clause for failure to achieve targets in his contract

He could offer to work for nothing until he gets us out of this mess.

Indeed, the players offer to pay for fans to travel to a match (Torquay) after a bad performance but no hint of such a gesture by the manager despite him admitting he ought to have been sacked by now.

As I have posted before, lay a trap and then we can sack him for gross misconduct.

Fund a team bonding night out with cheap booze - it worked at Oldham

Might even be collateral damage if we are lucky; Gerrard for starters

I'd love to see a Sheridan v Gerrard fight.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

The opposite, ask him politely to resign, and free the consortium from his pay off
A new hope.
