You may dispute it but after a quick search on this website for derogatory comments about 'deedahs' you can understand why he's jumped at the opportunity to comment on it and use it as part of his argument.

Is ‘deedah’ an insult? I’ve always understoid it in terms such as scouse or Geordie or jock, just particular to North Derbyshire

I'd

I'd suggest that he does based on prior posts he has made.

I'd suggest based on your posts you are more on an intellectual level with my 21 month old grandson. Although he may have passed you now...

We wanted Chris Turner out because he is from Sheffield and that is why we want Ashley out. Whereas Jack's from Sheffield and he is one of our own!

David's logic does not really add up, does it!

I enjoyed the interview, could have probed more into certain subjects but felt he wanted to keep on the good side of Dave Allen.
As for the we dont like Turner and Carson because of the Sheffield connection and Turner saying 'he didnt pick the team' - we know he dudnt pick the team Dave, its the other things what have happened.
We dont like them in our club because of the foul ups on their watch. Simple.
Joe should have brought this to Dave Allen's attention as soon as he said 'its because they are from Sheffield'
Let him off the hook as such did Joe

Depends on the context in which its used. I confess I haven't trawled but suspect there aren't any laudatory comments involving the word 'deedahs' over the last couple of years.

Tbf, in 1 of DAs interviews yesterday he did say "dar de dar de dar"

It's not even that. The phrase is used in Rotherham, Barnsley etc.

Don't think it's an insult as such. It's a way that some of them from certain areas pronounce the words like they may say " Na den de wot da Duin de " ? We all know wot their asking but that's where the dee and dahs come from. Not all parts of sheff speak like that tho.

Chesterfield FC is playing non league football.

The Club is all but bankrupt.

It's reputation has been trashed by a catalogue of controversies, scandals and, on at least one occasion, proven corruption.

Indeed only last week we learned of FA charges that could render all Dave Trump's talk of an immediate return redundant, intimidation of one of our most respected supporters and a kit cock-up that once again embarrassed CFC in the nation's eyes.

Fans, sponsors and locals alike are turning their backs in ever increasing numbers.

Yet Allen spews out delusional arrogance like some megalomaniac dictator on a Mel Brooks comedy.

You'd have to be pretty twisted to raise a giggle at any of this, though...

Let's see if the pigeon fancier changes his tune over CT should a scapegoat be required to answer for FA charges...

I don't know about anybody else but it leaves me with a very uncomfortable feeling that he would much rather have preferred each and every scandal to have been covered up. Which might explain some of Carson's behaviour.

indeed
Towards the end he lays into a 'lawyer' who has put a 'derisory' offer to buy CFC to Ashley Carson. He talks as if he's annoyed with Ashley for even relaying the information to him. That presumably signals the end of any bid by a local consortium?

I’d guess so.

As mr Mercury oft said, it’s for sale, but only if your the right buyer, not one with enough money

Carson is brainless puppet carry out his master instructions and reading from a script.

The third time I listened to the DA interview I was utterly convinced our demise has been engineered out spite because-

1) He didn’t like other board members taking interest payments (do as your told, but match my T+C without a voice)

2) He didn’t like being wrong over Saunders

Having said that, I’m also thinking that he will now “dig deep” upon his return to generate success and thus prove himself right.

Next season might be a successful one after all, if only because DAs ego demands it.
A new hope.

The lengths he will go to in order to prove a point....

However, after being initially peed off by his interview, bizarrely on reflection I’m more optimistic for the club’s future. Allen is a determined man with a point to prove, with an exit strategy that (if it comes off) will leave a club in a healthier situation.

For anyone wanting to know why the club finds itself in its current position, like Martin Allen claims to, a good starting point would be to listen to the interviews from yesterday. It is clear to me why the ex directors wanted out, who in their right mind would tolerate "that"?

I believe the interviews also reveal a lot about the type of individual Ashley Carson is.
