Interesting that the FA waited until the end of the campaign before levelling these charges, meaning any points deduction will surely apply to next season rendering promotion all but impossible.

Who knows what kinda impact that'll have on any prospective takeover bid (it's worth buttons, Dave, buttons. And we all know who's to blame for that, don't we...).

I guess the David Conn who must surely have high profile contacts within the FA toned-down his recent article for fear of prejudicing any prosecution, too.

Either way many of those supposedly 'in the dark' have been expecting this for quite some time.

What - did Carson and his cronies think fans weren't talking to the authorities? Those same authorities weren't interviewing the succession of scapegoats discarded by this regime? The dossier of allegations levelled by former employees were of no interest to them? Lies and shrugged shoulders at AGM's could make it all go away?

Meanwhile we can only wonder what other skeletons are about to emerge from the collection of Proact closets...

Promotion? Does anybody else think the FA needed to stop us .........

Ensuring our relegation, now there's a worthwhile FA project. And something we're good at.

I can imagine that Comical Ashley has immediately called a board meeting to which only he attends and is now talking to himself in the third person.

"FA Charge, eh Ash"

"Yep, so what are we going to do about it Ash?"

"Take the fine, add a few pennies onto the season tickets and match prices and sell that 150 year board thing".

"Shall we speak to Dave?"

"No, under no circumstances must we speak to the owner, he has enough on his plate with his pigeons"

"Why is he eating his pigeons?"

"..he's not eating......oh for god sake.....I'm off for a tan".

And Warner and croot still say nothing

He has a position within the game at Port Vale to keep, so I'd expect a robust defence on his part. How far can CFC push that line without leaving Turner no option but to stick up for himself? That's the big question for Carson to worry about. Certainly, "he signed a non-disclosure agreement" will not stand up in an FA enquiry!
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Ashley's view?! FFS
This cretin has almost singkehandedly brought about the downfall and shame on the Club.
I see Tony Fernandes of QPR has graded himself a C+ (taking QPR from Prem mid table to 16th in Chanpionship.
Wonder if Moondog could ask Carson how he grades himself on his work at town

He'd give himself an A+ on the Bentley scale

More money sucked into a financial penalty fine! Better than a points deduction. We really have to concentrate on the core business of er...."football" for the first team and reserves. Get rid of everything else.

Don’t worry the sale of Dennis and Rowley should cover it 🤔

Will the FA accept payment in unused football shirts? Any colour they fancy, so long as it is black.

You really couldn't make this up.

So, to keep up the momentum of a crisis per day, I am thinking Monday for the transfer e-mail falsification inquiry to report, and then the Liam Graham "ringer" saga to be concluded on Tuesday?

Then Carson announces himself as interim manager on Wednesday, with the Club on a total of -25 points and with £200k in fines.

... at which point we release a statement bigging up the pre-season tour of Derbyshire and "only" a slight increase in ticket prices.
