Chesterfield have been charged for misconduct relating to financial irregularities.

It is alleged that in allowing an external organisation, namely the CFC Football Development School Ltd, to pay the wages of former players Jake Orrell and Myles Wright whilst not fully recording the payments on its accounting records, the club breached FA Rule C1.

Chesterfield have until 17 May 2018 to respond to the charge.

Do the FA have any power over us now?
Would any punishment kick in straight away or until we get promoted back into the league again?
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Of course The FA have power over us, they have power over every team in the country as the regulatory body, even the Boot and Shoe are regulated by The FA...points deduction would (which is likely) will be at the start of next season in the NL...

For what it's worth, Ashley's view many moons ago was that a fine is most likely as the players involved had played minimal first team football. It's interesting that this statement doesn't include the unrelated allegation of CFC playing a ringer, which was also not a first team matter. At some stage he's going to have to state who authorised these transactions.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Typically, what's the amount of points deduction likely to be? - not that it matters with the current squad....

The next set of fans I hear complaining about their owner and the way their club is run i'll just point them to the last few years at Chestefield FC and say 'oh yeah... now quit your whining, bitches'

Ashley's view?! FFS
This cretin has almost singkehandedly brought about the downfall and shame on the Club.
I see Tony Fernandes of QPR has graded himself a C+ (taking QPR from Prem mid table to 16th in Chanpionship.
Wonder if Moondog could ask Carson how he grades himself on his work at town
