Have some dignity though

There is no more depressing sight than that of a fat bloke in a football shirt supping ale at an all inclusive

You could look at it that way, or the other side is, if he’s happy wearing the shirt then leave him to it, he’s not doing any harm to anybody and it makes him happy..
It’s his choice in life and he’s supporting his club

Cards on table - I don't wear shirts to games. Nor do I wear a scarf, bobble hat, badges, big foam finger or any other regalia.

(Though if a particular away shirt takes my fancy I might get a heavily discounted one at the end of the season to wear on holiday.)

That said I see 'CPS's' suggestion as a reasonable half-way-house for those that do. On one hand you're supporting your team, wearing your colours, but on the other your conscience can remain clear.

In fact it'd be an awkward conversation should the shirt sponsor ask why they're seeing loads of fans not sporting their logo...

And I would say there's nothing more depressing than the killjoys of the fashion police. Why would you get exercised by this? Very odd.

Quite recently, when Marc Richards was here I think. I’ve got one in the drawer upstairs.

<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Tried to paste a link but it won’t work, just google chesterfield F.C. gold shirt.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

I wore the gold kit to the pub t'other day and was greeted with an array of Star Trek jokes. I think it was introduced the season after Shez took us down, so 2012-13?
These go to eleven.

I’ll raise your dreadful lung cancer with people who drape giant England flags over the outside of their house while the world cup’s on.

I didn't really enjoy my "Cadbury non-denominational chocolate egg-shaped product" this year.
