Listening to Phil Tooley and Joe, it didn't seem like that; in fact I posted just before our goal they seemed to having most of the possession. Fingers are being pointed at the defence, rightly. but when are they going to have a day when they can have a game equal to our oppositions defence, and see our midfield and attack keep their men at the back busy? 20 shots they had yesterday, compared to our 7. Four goals scored in four league games.

It must be like playing in a defence v attack practice game every match.

We need a spoiler in midfield to break up play and then lay the ball off. Unlikely to bring one in so why not Hird, put McGuire at the side of Evatt and play 4 at back with Kellett at left back assuming he's fit enough

Sorry but there isn't any nice way to say this but Hird has become a poor player. Not tall enough, not quick enough, not nasty enough. Hasn't got the distribution skills to be centre midfielder. A thoroughly nice bloke, but a poor player.
