Sorry I've only just seen this.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the Salt Water Cafe. We do intend on trying the Beadnell Towers, probably either on a Friday or Saturday night because as I said, our last two visits to The Craster Arms were chaos!

We've seen the fish and chip van before and not had the confidence to try it, but we will give it a go now and we will look up the White Swan, thanks.

Out of interest, did you try The Landing?

Despite it being the nearest to our accommodation we didn't bother. The evening menu was very limited and very expensive, plus the reviews were bang average. That said the BAE pizza place in the car park opposite was shut due to the season/weather and was operating out of the landing for eat in and take away and we were going to give it a go as the pizzas looked good, but we just didn't get round to it!

The Black Swan in Seahouses is also on our hit list next time....

You will need to book ahead for the Beadnell Towers as despite it being mid-week every table was full. Only us and one other table on the Friday night in the Salt Water which is crazy given the quality of the food!

Enjoy your visit.

We've not tried The Landing either for the same reasons. I think the Landing, Craster Arms and The Black Swan are all part of the same group.

Did you stop on the Beadnell Point development? We've stopped on there once and then in a bungalow on Harbour Road, just up from the mobile chippy.

Has anyone tried the new Italian in Bolsover?

I can only describe it as something similar to a scene out of The Apprentice where the candidates have been given a task to reopen a derelict restaurant and instead of using experienced tradespeople, they've done some of the work themselves and not bothered doing other bits. The front of house and waiting on staff were extremely inexperienced as well.

Unless things improve drastically, I can't see them being there for long. It's a shame as we really enjoyed going to the old Bella Blu.

Is it in that building? I was seeing someone from Boza at the time it caught fire so never got the chance to go.
