Interesting to see all these formations and comments. Before the recent dip in form the Novak/Ebanks-Blake partnership seemed to be clicking. With a new manager in the offing perhaps we might see a resurgence of form from these two players. It's amazing how players respond to a new manager (for a variety of reasons)so let's give them a chance. I think we need two loanees at full back and for the chairman to stump out loads of cash to keep Morsy for another year. Loan out a good proportion of the squad to reduce the wage bill at the same time. Think carefully about the captaincy - give it to a defender who can read the play better from the back and is willing to give merry hell to anyone in the team who isn't pulling his weight. And while we are at it, let the CEO come out and publicly say what plans they have in the next few months. That might get things going!

Lee

Talbot Evatt Raglan Humphries

Hird Morsy

Simons O Shea Gardner

Novak

Not ideal by any means but I think it might just work.

When Cook came in it seemed he pretty quickly moved out moved out some semi-popular players, notably Westcarr, some Jo Pro defender we had on loan & before too long Trotman. To answer the post topic I think I would be looking to do similar with at least half a dozen of out current squad.

Re arrange a turd all you like it's still a turd at the end of the day.Any new manager will face a massive uphill task to stay in this league with such a p poor squad of players too many need replacing just to give us a chance of survival.Whoever the new guy is must first of all get them playing attractive football that's what the punters demand first and foremost and then it's highly likely that he ll have to start again in league two using the close season to rebuild and go again.

We are seriously thin all over particularly full backs and defensive midfield but the key thing is to stop shedding goals and at least give ourselves a base until January

its time the senior Pros stood up and were counted with a sprinkling of youth. 3-4-3 for me

Lee

Raglan Hird Wood

Talbot Morsy Donohue Humphreys

Jayo SEB Mani

Subs Chapman, O'Neill, Evatt, Simons, Gboly, Gardner, Banks

That makes painful reading. We're getting dicked every week as it is. That set up and line up would cause further problems.

The 3-5-2 is also in my opinion a non starter. We haven't the players to fit the system I'm afraid.

Whatever MS chooses to go for, he's a hell of a job on his hands, made even harder with the bad news regarding Dan Jones.
Mug?? Being wrong never gets boring!

Nothing anyone can do about points 1 and 2 until January at the earliest as the loan window shut on Thursday so its make do with what we have til then. Unless of course Mark Smith is still in charge in January.

I hope he's not, I hope we appoint a decent manager before the Bury game, this season has been wasted enough already.13 defeats including cup games. We need a big shake up quickly if we are to win the fans back.

Cup:

CHAPMAN... just to keep Tommy on his toes.
Lambert? or McGuire... can't do much worse than any other player given this role so far, and it's always good to see the youngsters given a cup debut as there are no points to lose.
Evo and Raglan.. still our best cb pairing.
Talbot.. why has he been left out just recently when he was beginning to show some decent form.
Simmon... he deserves another run out after his efforts against Swindon.
Banks.. didn't play too bad and can delive quality balls.
Morsey.. I wish we had another 10 like him.
Novak..surely he can't play as bad as he hs in the last 2 games. He was truely peed off when he was subbed, so hopefully he'll be up for this one.
SEB.. scored at their place and Walsall fans hate him.
Manni.. to gie us a bit of muscle up front and could open it up for SEB / Novak... he's scored 4 in the last 2 reserve games.

Jay needs to up his game as does Gardner, Boly is a better impact player.
