Or use the 200k to sign 2 players on 2k a week. No need to pay fees in the close season with so many players out of contract
A new hope.

How the hell can Bury afford £200k?
We get better crowds on the car boot than they get and we ain't got a pot to p**s in!

So you dont think getting money for somebody who is 32 next season and a high wage earner is good, im not for selling enmass but i can gaurantee the club have never thought it possible they could get money for roberts this money could go in its entireity into the player budget

But the thing is though. That 32 yr old made us tick for the past two seasons.
We missed him in the games when he was injured so do we really wanna get rid?

Depends how Saunders wants to play - if he wants to play a patient passing game and unlock sides using guile Roberts is ideal.

If he wants to play a fast game using pace and getting the ball forward much quicker then he might not be ideal.

£200k is a cracking deal IMO
A new hope.

DA said 70/30 split between debts and playing budget. More like 90/10 though so only £20 k to budget

Assume he does go with 70/30

That's over 1k a week plus his wages - reported to be the highest at the club - two players in on 2k a week.
A new hope.

Our most influential player. Always a poorer performance when he was missing from the side.
Worth far more to us than you could possibly get for him.

Would have to be very good players to replace him. Do you think we could replace his quality for £2k a week?

Tell em to shove their 200k up their arris, why do we want to offload one of the most important players if we are to progress upwards. He is a crowd puller and there will be many Spireites unhappy to see him go, to me he's one of the best players we've had in years. There is no one better when he is on form.
