Is tonight the first time we could be facing him as an opponent in the league.
God I hate this league.

I think he says in the interview on Preston's Player that he's only played us once and that was in pre-season so you are probably quite right. He hasn't had much of a crack so far this season though has he?
These pretzels are making me thirsty!

The way their fans talk about him it'll benefit us if he plays.

They have got 1 striker injured and 1 suspended so Kev could start although he is nursing bruised ribs as well.

If he does play, I'll be after his shirt! I have the sky blue Bolton one he played in at Saltergate in his only appearance against us, so would be desperate to get the pair!!

No he isn't, the 18 year-old Kevin Davies would frighten the life out of us, his pace and strength was phenominal

Agree, the older Davies perpetuates the long ball flick on and hold up game which Evo ought to be able to deal with.

Although in some respects the role he played in the good Bolton team as a lone striker bringing in the 5 man midfield (with Kevin Nolan etc) is similar to Cooks style of play. He was more able to pull defenders out of position in his younger days at Bolton. With us he was Duncans prime (and probably) sole outlet from the nine man defence.

If he plays, will he be the first member of the 97 squad to face us since?

Dyche was at Northampton when we went there fighting relegation, but didn't make the match day squad.

Mercer and Holland played in the same team against us for Bristol City twice - 1999-2000 season.

Tom Curtis played for "ahem, them over the M1" versus us in 2003.

Bruno played against us twice in League Cup for Rochdale 1999-2000 when games were two legged.

Work is interesting today - not!
