Still a little disappointing given the continued investment by Dave Allen?

Which approach would get the higher attendances:-

lower ST/Match day prices?
Higher ST/Match day prices?

Or is it more to do with the cost of beer, wine, spirits and food?
A triumph of hope over expectation

I`m struggling to see how higher matchday prices would boost the attendances.
A new hope.

Who was it advocated higher prices?

Continuing to play well and staying top 6 will ensure good attendances, simple as that.

Scunny was disappointing on the back of Vale and the blank weekend and Sam & Georg signings.

It's probably more to do with the price of gas, electricity, short hours, cut backs, unemployment and the cost of new school uniforms at this time of year as opposed to booze prices

Slightly perhaps. Though compare our figures with other similar sized clubs and they hold up very well.

Gradually we'll get them back. Continue to perform like the 2nd half and it will happen.

IMO there are the extra 2-3000 fans who are not convinced we'd do anything this season. The longer our run goes on, the stronger chance we have of attracting them back. Not going to happen overnight though.

Edit: the club could help though through improved sales and marketing strategy to attract in additional fans.

That's just about what I think . A lot of people got disenchanted the last time we went up.Next couple of matches crucial.

It's a different matter this season, but you can't blame folk for remembering what happened last time

We have always attracted the negative neutrals and to be fair in the past being Chesterfield FC and having our luck only proves them right. We'll never get in the Championship/Premiership. We'll never have a Cup run. We'll never do anything. We always crack...... You know the usual quotes and comments found on BB.

If they took off their negative heads and took a neutral look at the last 5 years of CFC and they might actually see the Wood for the Tree's.

Money invested with a Structured Repayment Plan.
Better Players brought in at lower costs and Sold/Moved on for Profit
Better quality Football consistently
Better Ground & Facilities
Better Management & Backroom Staff
2 Championship Promotions
2 Wembley Appearances
Plenty of Belief
No RPL

The Time as never been better to be a Spireite.

How many season tickets did we sell in the end?
If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Cant fault some of that Kevo, but its also to do with people feeling they'll get value for money - entertainment - rather than being negative. Yes we have a better side, championships secured and trips to wembley. However, when these floaters have £20-50 to spend on having a good day out, often with kids, then they will spend on something they will feel gives them the most chance of being entertained. If CFC could see this and create more of a 'package' to entice, and the performances on the pitch continue, then i think we'll get more crowds

Not sure about the "continued investment" bit

Plus a a gradually increasing core of support that are willing to travel away. We are getting up there with the one of the best away support in our league for our catchment size.

On here the people who moan about crowds are usually the ones who moan on here about everything. If they spread the word like they do on here with prophecies of doom and relegation it's hardly going to attract the neighbours and mates to the ground. Sometimes it's just easy to blame the club and things like the state of the economy and our own actions don't count. We are a relatively small town and considering where we have com from the crowds we get aren't bad at all in my opinion. Improvement long term will see a steady increase with time. No matter how well we play reality is we aren't going to fill the ground at this stage of the season

It's the duty of every Spireite to talk up the team and the club and to drag every last person they can to games.
