1 Anyone with a spare could of hours this coming Wednesday? Why not wander down to Mill Lane, the home of Clay Cross Town FC, to watch CFC U19s in a friendly v Northampton Town FC 11.00 ko

2 If you can get a quick getaway this coming Saturday Clay Cross Town FC are at home in a 3pm ko v Phoenix (from Rotherham). Clay Cross sit 2nd in the table behind another Mansfield team (Bilsthorpe), having just won their last four games and scored 27 goals in the process - great entertainment and great value at just £3 admission with a very impressive free match programme.

3 If you think it's a bit too much of a rush this coming Saturday Clay Cross are at home in the Cup when we play at Bristol City - 3pm ko v Gamesley

11 probably was a cricket score in Clay Cross this past cricket season
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Don't take anything away from our young uns they played some attractive football for 90mins admittedly against a very poor Cobblers side who were simply outclassed. Who was the lad called Brad who scored 4, we had to smile at his proud dad who shouted to him "well done son you've just made your mum's Birthday when he scored his third".I'd recommended all Spireites who have time on their hands to make a visit to Clay Cross either to see our youngsters or to see the Clay Cros saturday side. The ground is a credit to them the staff welcoming and good to have a clear tannoy system we are due to play a young Chelsea team there soon which should be a good tester for us.It would be a massive boost for our lads to have a decent crowd behind them, good to see Cooky and Turner there today.

Chris Turner Paul Mitchell watch every match, the lad called brad no 10 is from Barnsley area he is slightly overage and is currently on trial he evidently is wanted by a couple of sides think it's sheffield wed and Barnsley to play in their u21 we have to make a decision if he is a first team gamble as we have no u21..The no 11 was zeedee stocky lad looked ok but I thought he carried a bit of timber predominant right foot, towns right back looks decent flanners I think he is called ex striker but trying to convert him , I think he is like jamie lowey. ..They need to play better teams Northampton were garbage and had not got a single player.
