The Andorra pitch had far too much rubber on it.

Tend to notice it more with new pitches as overtime they become bedded in and as anyone who has played on one will no you take half a tonne home with you after you've played on it.

The Andorra pitch failed some tests not long before the game where it was deemed the ball was running to fast along it. It seems that to fix that issue they just dumped a shed load more of the rubber pellets onto it which made it slow and worse.
