Hi Guys. Dave here, your former PA guy from the last few seasons and keeper for the oldies in the Bobs Board charity matches . Good to see the Spireites having a fantastic start to the season and sorry i can't be there.

Ashley C posted in a different thread that I am taking a break at the moment from CFC. The reason for this is that my wife contracted cancer earlier in the year and I have taken a break from all of my non-day job work in order to look after her and the rest of the family.

I am posting up today and asking you to forget geographical boundaries and if i get a barrage of abuse and one donation then its worth it. During the time that we have been battling this disease my wife has had tremendous support from Rotherham Cancer Care Centre which is a local (yes i live in Rotherham, sorry about that, the houses are cheap and so are the women) centre providing therapies and counseling for cancer patients and their families.

They are completely funded by donations and as a thank you to the support they have given us I am running the Great Yorkshire Run on the 28th September raising money for them. I set out 3 weeks ago to raise £500. I am currently at £900 and now i want to break the £1000 barrier and hopefully with your help I can.

If I have ever played a song you liked or listened to your comments on here and acted accordingly then please go to my link and spare a pound or two. my page is on virgin money giving and the link is below

As I said at the top, yes i know the centre is in Rotherham, yes i know im doing the GYR but I'm asking the fantastic forumsters of Bobs Board to forget the borders as its for cancer patients that I am raising the money for and if i make £1 from posting this then its worth it.

Thanks for reading, see you all soon and Up the Town! (bangs on Sailing at full volume)

Some things transcends boundaries, this being one of them.
Good luck in your fund raising, and you wife's recovery. I'll pop by the Virgin site and donate, once I get home.

Miss your dulcet match day tone . . . !!!!
