I think we can safely say, this game will be a full sell-out! It's only in E1 where there are really seats available & if not snapped up on the site, the last minute walk ups will snap them up on the day

I would imagine tickets will be taken off sale at end of buisness Friday, not that I expect any to be left then!

Rather amusingly a blunt at work has just come up to me having a moan to say he couldnt buy a ticket in E1 as they werent available online. I said, before checking, that they may have opted not to sell this block online to make it harder for United fans to go in there. I then checked and saw they are available online but i havent mentioned it to him and having him getting a ticket a town fan may want. No idea what he was actually doing to figure out he couldnt buy it online!

He probably forgot to turn the computer on. It's for the best. He'd get lost trying to find E1.

A Blunts fan at work managed to book quite easily a few tickets online for the East stand.

My guess is there will be hundreds of them in E1 and E2, simply because home fans havent snapped them up. I reckon we reached a watershed and most of the takers now will be away fans.

Yes your spot on but this cant be right FFS! I can see there being lots of trouble in blocks E1 and 2

Stewards will need to be on their toes if the club is letting fans mix. I am assuming that online buyers arent subjected to checks. It doesn't bother me if it fills the stadium and folk behave themselves. Home fans have had plenty of time to get tickets. We have done the same playing away at smaller clubs where demand has exceeded supply eg mansfield, burton, torquay. As an aside I heard on radio Sheff tonight that Barnsley have 7k ST holders, which may be a legacy of playing in the championship. Wonder how many STs we would sell if we ever made it that far. Or how many Rotherham have sold for this season.

Why isn't it right?

I'm sure DA wants a sell out and he'd be happier if it was achieved with home support but he'll be happy to take the urinals's money if necessary.

As you have to supply the billing address when buying tickets online I would have thought that the club and police will have a rough idea of the number of away fans in the home areas without contravening any data protection rules.

Data protection will only protect someone from having there bank details made available.....especially in the event of any trouble at the match if the police can Identify where a person was sat the club would have to give up the name and address of the purchaser.

I'm sure we will have the "special" stewards on for this one. One thing for sure is that if there is any trouble in there it will be the town fans who get banned

Sad as it may be, I've been watching the online ticket situation over last couple of days (work is boring) and up until E1 was released , the sale of tickets had virtually dried up. About 50 left in the rest of the ground, but in E1, they've been flying out. 100 odd sold very quickly, so I reckon the deedahs are snapping these up

I suppose by releasing E1 last, after home support had pretty much exhausted itself, this was bound to happen, can't blame Sheffield United fans really.

Just seen that Chris Turner stated it was a sell out though so maybe late run or taken off sale?
