Yeah, I noticed that too. I think PC had to watch his P's and Q's for a change with her so just ended having a go at the ref directly.

It isn't an automatic red card. He's correct.

This bloke sounds like a genius compared to the old duffer we had at my Sunday league game this morning. He started less than fantastically when he blew the whistle to kick off with both captains standing in the half way line still waiting for him to toss the coin. This was made all the more bizarre considering that the other teams captain was also their keeper!

Also, he couldn't blow his whistle hard enough for anyone past 10 yards away to hear him, which is hardly ideal.

I'll expect to see him on the FIFA list for the next World Cup.
These pretzels are making me thirsty!

That's something you have put up with when the ref and players are all upside down!

Posted 18 August 2014 - 07:35 PM

Just happened to look at the match report and stats on the BBC Sport site and couldn't help noticing that Dale's goal was scored on 99 mins 14 secs and that our friend Carl Boyeson blew for Full Time after 99 mins 56 secs .... This is after the 'board' was held up showing 7 mins of added time.
Now I can accept that we brought on a couple of subs during this time, which might usually add on 30 secs each ? But almost THREE MINUTES on top of the seven is a bit excessive imo ....

Thank you Mr Boyeson !

..... You've given a whole new meaning to 'Fergie Time'

Still poor though.

True. Very poor for both teams. Don't think the young lad running the line could even decide who's throw in it was! I think there is an amazing gulf between the quality of refereeing in the football leagues compared with the Premiership; granted officials in lower leagues are part-time, but the qualify today was amateur.

Can't agree about today's ref I thought he had a decent enough game got the major decisions right. The assistant on the east stand side however was clearly way out of his depth and could have cost us dearly.

That linesman put in a disgraceful performance. Out of his depth shocking.

Our second looked a dive.

Allowed to dive when pushed in the back. Nailed on peno and the guy who pushed him was also very lucky to stay on. I couldn't see any covering player

Who was playing him on? From where I was sat he looked behind the last defender when the ball was played so was somebody in a wide position playing him on?
