BBC website reporting that Leyton Orient have rejected an approach from Cardiff for Russell Slade. If Slade is on their radar, is Cooky also?

They've suggested that they will do whatever it takes to get him and he wants to go so expect it to happen.

I suspect there is only 1 team which would turn Cookie's head from the mission and that team wears red and is in the Champion's League!

He'll snap their hand off to go there after the new owners of the O's told him last week that his job there was on the line !

(I bet they'll still demand compensation though the cheeky b********)

Coventry, Wolves, Burnley, Norwich all might be able to tempt Cook.
A new hope.

It was only last week they said he had one game to save his job!
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

But the fans have really got behind him since then saying he shouldnt be sacked so i suspect the owner has got a bit twitchy about doing it!

Or maybe Orient sense the opportunity for a decent compensation agreement. Slade seems to want to go, and who can blame him?
These go to eleven.

Russell Slade resigns- must be getting nice signing on wedge at Cardiff- if he'd have been sacked he'd have had some compo from the O's.
Funny old game

 You'd think so.I think the length of his contract and the subsequent compo payment has been the only thing that has saved him so far.

If you believe the rumours the length of the contract means nowt as whilst its was a long deal he's getting paid next to nowt after Ashley allegedly paid of Pardews gambling debts!

I hope Bolton aren't seeking a bright young manager with an extensive knowledge of north-west based players, a track record of bringing in good talent on the cheap, a reputation for producing teams which play attractive football, and an assistant with Bolton connections.

Boltons issue in terms of poaching another clubs manager is that they are skint arent they...didnt they announce huge debts at some point last season? Part of the reason they loaned Craig Davies out last season was because they needed defensive cover and could only afford to loan someone if they got another player out on loan with that club paying the wages.

No one like that round ere. Try Sheffield. Someone round their stabilises clubs who are spiralling out of control.
Here we go again!

Good point and I hope you are right. I checked the betting sites for next Bolton boss and Cook's name is nowhere to be seen..... yet.

They can get stuffed!
They can have Kevin Davies as manager with Jack Lester as his assistant, but they cannot have Cookie! Unless he wants to go then he can do with my blessing.

Didn't that suave sophisticated manager over in Rotherham play for Bolton or at least on the books, bet he would run all the way there to be their manager
