watching the Brentford v Leicester game, unusual to watch a tv game without var involved and got to say its much better without the endless stoppages, i'm sure the officials have made mistakes during this game but for me just a better watch seeing a game flow.

Though I was in favour of VAR at first on balance, the authorities/officials have proven themselves incapable of using it.
Do I enjoy football more with or without VAR? The answer is obvious for me.
These go to eleven.

VAR is absolute rubbish, as I've said right from the start. If it isn't scrapped soon it will completely kill the game of football.

I like the idea of contentious events being reviewed to ensure the right decision is made - it makes it fair.
The idea of knowing you win, or were beaten, fair and square, and not robbed by penalty given due to a dive in the box, makes it worth it to me.
But,the system has to be sped up and improved as nobody wants a stop/start game.

Good to see Shrews slotting a couple away knowing some geek in a truck isn’t going to rule it out because a stray pube was offside.

I’m jealous. But then I’m jealous of anyone in the FL these days.

Graham Barrow I noticed alongside Ricketts. He's so embarrassed about being associated with our descent that he's ensured his Wikipedia page makes no reference to it.

watching shrews today v Liverpool reminded me of the days when we would take on anyone at home and have a go, so many times especially at saltergate we didn't seem to care who the opposition was we'd have a go, win some, lose some but never hide. as a club we've lost our mojo over the last few years. so important that our club shakes off the gloom which I believe will only happen once allen, carson etc depart and we get the club back. feels a long way right now but where theres hope....

VAR will shortly be popular with tv coverage, think of the number of two minute adverts that can be sold.

Yep.
How come the Fulham man got sent off a foul inside the area but the Liverpool man only got booked?

The Fulham player made no attempt to play the ball.

Ta. I had wondered whether it was some subjective judgement about the last man.

Technically no such rule about being last man, its worded about stopping a clear goalscoring chance.

Chance to put the kettle on.
Not a fan of VAR myself but at times it is only applying the rules as they stand at present.Time for a change when a players feet are onside but his eyebrow isn't.
Many a good tune
