This cant be a coincidence with the AGM so close....

Chesterfield FC Community Trust "close to completing" takeover deal for Spireites

The trust has posted the original post, not the club.

Didnt say the club had but i suspect DA and co wouldnt be upset if it all happened prior to an AGM so they didnt have to turn up!

Doubt it'll happen that quick, but DA won't be there either way

Sorry, but I do think the threads sometimes go off on a tangent. The AGM is less than 2 weeks away and there is an opportunity for BB members to ask questions through shareholders that are attending.
Now.... I don't want to spend more time than is needed to sit through petty questions about how hot the tea is or can we have John Smiths instead of Worthingtons or real ale put on in the concourse.
FACT, the Board of Directors have to answer any question asked of the shareholders if it is relevant to the minutes from last year or the financial accounts of the year ending 2018/2019, so rather than several people trying to get answers for a similar question, it would be a good idea if questions were collated and documented and asked. If this means submitting most of the questions prior to the gathering, then I can't see the harm, and perhaps a more accurate detailed reply would be received rather than someone answering from their memory or flicking through pages for figures and answers.
There will be a lot more shareholders attending that don't read BB.

The AGM is to approve and adopt last years minutes, approve the accounts that have been supplied and re-appoint the accountants.

Questions that are outside of the above can be asked under any other business and answers could be given but not mandatory.

So I think rather than discussing on here and wasting time reading posts that are not relevant to the financial figures, why doesn't somebody start a thread where BB members can post questions and a shareholder can present their questions in an orderly manner? This would not mean other questions can't be asked from the floor, but it would save time. I find that it is always the same shareholders that ask the questions with the majority just sat there listening.

I can be a right bottom at times ;)

Z

Rob. An official statement said that questions MUST be submitted in advance. If you disagree then I suggest you have the discussion with Carson, pointing out that many shareholders don't read BB or the website.

David, the official statement can't be enforced. It is an AGM for the shareholders who can ask anything they want regarding last years minutes and the financial accounts. They CAN NOT stop questions being asked because they haven't been submitted.

FYI, I will not be submitting questions prior to the meeting and I will ask any question I desire to ask at the meeting. The board of directors have a duty to me as a shareholder to answer my questions. Simples!!

yep, that's what me and several others on BB think.

The fact that Carson issues such lazy language implies to me that a new owner will be in place before the AGM.

I was wondering how this would sit with the clubs constitution
A new hope.
