Yhep makes you wonder what thought process was used when altering the Wrexham kick offs compared to this one, with clearly the potential for more 'high jinks' with travel arrangements already made. The cynic in me says the thought process adopted this time is a hypocritical stance of whose bothered about potential trouble we want the tv money.

We get £1k for an away tv game on BT. Home team gets either £6k or £7k.
TV money isn't a huge incentive in the national league.

Well at least the local licensees and local courts will make more than that out the of the fixture.
Are tv companies immune to 'police advice'?

Notts police are better organised at dealing with much bigger crowds than we will bring, forest will get much bigger away supporters to the ground.

Forest have kicked off at home on Sky against West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday this season i'm sure. If they can cope with that i'm sure they'll deal with us fine.

There won’t be trouble though

A few drunks arrested, some fronting up against the police maybe but nothing more

Better ask any cops who are town fans on here then because my family relative works matches at both clubs DCFC and CFC. They have also worked games at Alfreton as well in the past.

Only possible issue is post game when Forest fans will have had time to get back from their game at Birmingham....any cross over at the station could be fun.

I can't recall any major issues with either set of fans in the past, I don't see any reason for that to change.

That was always the case when we played County away - recall several clashes with Forest fans in/around the station and Bentinck Hotel area.

A bit disparaging towards Derbyshire/town plod. Are we saying they are better trained than our plod. In which case could it be said that with Notts having a far more varied crime rate than around here, they are also better equipped/trained to deal accordingly, In which case are we getting a 2nd rate police force and therefore, which leads to the conclusion that we are not getting value for money from our rates.

Joking apart, the plod had no input into the early Wrexham/Notts(H) KO (even though the club claimed otherwise) So whatever idiot decided on that course of action now appears a bit of an hypocrit.

Yes, you'd have thought police intelligence would have picked up on this and they would have advised accordingly

The last few times I've een to Meadow Lane with Pompey, the away fans were allocated the stand opposite the main stand. Years ago we used to get an end.

I've been a few times and done both to be honest...think it used to be the big stand behind the goal then last time i went it was down the side.

The Football Supporters Association are asking fans who cannot now make the match and have purchased non refundable rail tickets to contact them.
