An announcement imminent apparently
This could lead to range of ramifications to football

The only positive could be if 6 teams pull out of the premier league to join this league that will leave 6 places to fill as a knock on down the pyramid which could benefit us

When the Americans started running clubs over here it was obvious that football as we know it was going to change.
Look at every major sport over the pond and see how it's run. Football leagues will soon be known as "Majors and Minors" without any chance of promotion into them.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

Terrible

Eufa aren’t happy - mind you their new Europa Conference Cup for clubs who finish 7th is totally embarrassing

Definitely end up in the courts I’m sure I read any players participating in the competition will be barred from the World Cup so some interesting national team selections in fact we might do better than previous tournaments 😂

Let them go I say. Footballs bigger than 6 clubs and it might bring down the bubble the PL is in along with it too.

Most normal fans of these clubs surely will be massively against it you’d like.

Apparently no German or French clubs have signed up. It is believed that the 4 of the 5 or 6 English clubs (depending which reports you read) are Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal. Juventus, Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are the others. I suspect that Man City will be the 5th as they despise UEFA, The 6th English club it's going to be Spurs. And there are conflicting reports of how many teams have signed up (11 or 12).

What if the clubs leave and the venture fails, where do these clubs rejoin the league?
If Celtic and Rangers join which Im sure they will attempt to, where that will leave Scottish football?
Lots of legal battles ahead. If its an extra competition just for greed I would say all or nothing to them. You either leave and join the European League or don't join. Some players will unfortunately care more about their own bank balances and not bother if they are told they can't play for there countries.

Putting all else aside for a moment, the idea of a 12 team league sounds horrifically dull.

They can start in the regional leagues with AFC Bury and Macclesfield FC.

Another day counting my blessings living in God's county and born into supporting Tairn.

I really don't give a xxxx. The sooner they all these big boys xxxx off and take VAR with 'em the better.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Definitely one more reason not to renew sky sports !
Is it just me - I can't even get the enthusiasm to watch MOTD anymore.
No supporters, over rated friendlies and don't even get me on VAR.

But I can't wait to get back in at Town !

It won't be Sky picking this up.....it'll be BT Sports.

No wonder, if this goes ahead and they don't get the broadcast rights they will have trouble convincing people to keep their sports subscriptions

They won’t get permission so will have to resign to join.

Watching anything in this 'super league' will be the mind-numbing side of incredibly tedious. Let 'em go. Let 'em do their money-grabbing thing. Maybe it'll bring some perspective back to the rest of English football.

They wouldn't try to persuade the PL that they can run a reserve side that can compete at that level would they?

I hope they’d be laughed at if they tried.

I agree with Neville, refuse them permission to join and dock them all a huge number of points.
