My mate a work is a Rotherham fan, and to be fair, he does a bit of moaning, but Jesus, the Rotherham fans online are really out for the manager and the owner. A lot saying they are done supporting the club and boycotting next season as they are being relegated to League 1, after the 3rd relegation from the Championship in the last 20 years.

I know I do a lot of moaning, but I’d give my right arm to be in there position now. They could do with a taste of what we have been through this past 5 seasons.

If someone said we’d spend the next 10 seasons as a mid table League 2 side I’d bite there hand off.

Delusions of grandeur again in South Yorkshire.

I didn’t think they’d mind being relegated too much. Wednesday fans have plenty to moan about, which is of course hilarious.

Totally agree with this. I remember listening to a Doncaster fan on a phone in on the radio quite a few years ago who came on after a Chesterfield fan moaning about us in League one with Doncaster being in the Conference equivalent at the time saying just that, and he would love to swap places with us. I would love us to have a relegation season in the Championship and I would die a happy man just to have see us play at that level.

To a degree they did go through what we've been through.

In and out and in and out of admin, then leaving Millmoor to play in front of Mansfield size crowds for a number of seasons.

Din't end in non league football, but they were only a Tony Stewart intervention away from it.

Thing is he continued investing where Dave Allen pulled the plug. Which resulted in visits to the second tier that were always gonna be fleeting given they're just another lower league outfit doing well.

Too many of their fans have Wednesday-esque mentalities, though. Hardly surprising when they're outnumbered by 'em in their home town. That said Rotherham and Donny and a plethora of other clubs similar to ourselves have shown a glimpse of the big time shouldn't be beyond us...
