But we've been there and done that, an't we Dave.

Part of the last few years' madness was chucking wedge at supposedly proven players - whilst at the same time selling our own!?! - who turned into bank balance busting failures.

Rowe's gone down another path, though. He's plucked the best talent from smaller outfits and/or hired with a view to cutting the budget.

Okay, it might be seen as stupid that we've a striker with a glut of goals at this level on his CV out on loan. At a fellow play off contender, too. Perhaps that'll be re-visited now, I dunno.

However there's a bigger picture happening, here. A CFC making itself sustainable. Using the pulling power of our facilities and fanbase to build from below, so to speak.

And whilst the strikers coming in have yet to convince are you saying such as Whelan, Carline and several others don't fall into that paradigm....?

I'm not upset with the signing, just the long ball. I think Gunning needs to have a clause in his next contract that he loses £50 per long ball he lumps to the opposition.

Good defender but I have no idea why he is playing this way now

That's true, perhaps that's why we looked so shambolic.

Its more worrying that we played the same way against Boredham wood perhaps they've been training that way ?
