I watched it and thought the keeper got a hand to it diverted it to Whittle which in my eyes would take the assist off him (harsh I know) but I've just rewatched and don't think he did actually. So I'll give it him.

Ah I’ve not updated last night’s yet cos I’ve not seen the assists so gonna do them when the highlights get put up. Hollis has 2 in the league, his other was against somebody in the tinpot cup which I don’t include in the stats.

If you're giving an assist for a short throw surely the player who was fouled (allegedly) for a pen should be credited with an assistt and then you could have the scenario whereby the same player could be credited with both goal and assist.
