Hmmm. Two stonewall penalties now updated in the latest interview to three, and yet no reference at all to them in highlights. That's frustrating.

One talking point that should be in there is Maguire's inability to win his crucial one on one defensive battles. They stick out like a sore thumb even in a winning side and opponents will definitely target him.
It doesn't matter how good Larry is in possession, if he can't defend then he's done for. Perhaps it's his starting possession in relation to his lack of pace, but there's summat seriously wrong.

Which highlights are you referring to? All I can find is the NL version from the West Stand and Bromley’s edit of our footage. I can’t see our version. In fact that appears to be a weakness on our website, no page set aside for video highlights- you have to trawl through various links.

I'd like to float the idea of JR having an input into which highlights are shown. It seems to me that he's in a position of an influencer but to talk of 3 stonewall penalties yet no highlights infers that he or the editor is uncertain on evidence and, Bromley supporters will certainly dismiss him as a ranter.

Ironically, the disallowed B/W goal last week was shown from different angles and I personally can see nowt wrong with it.

Must admit I was surprised the penalty incidents were not included in the highlights. Certainly, the original 2 looked obvious when watching the game.

One thing I did notice from the highlights was when Mitchell won the ball in our half then fed Mandeville and appeared to be screaming for a return pass as he burst through their defence at speed. Mandeville chose not to release the ball quickly into Mitchell's path, held on to it too long, and the result was a poor cross into their penalty area which left Mitchell with little to no chance of converting. We haven't got anybody else who can burst forward with such intent but the team has to learn to take advantage and move the ball more quickly into his path when the opportunity arises.

The facts are that the two number 10's were ineffective.
Why did Yarney have to continually pass back to his CH?.... Cos neither number 10 demanded the ball off him.
They were both subbed and rightly so.

Number 10's have got to be cocky, want to dictate play, and make the right decisions. I think we have to change the system 'cos ours arn't.

Another talking point should be the way we allowed Kizzi in to head home the winning goal especially as he had given us a early warning in the first half when he similarly stole in on the blind side and put his header wide.

And, I thought JR had made that a talking point in his interviews.

For me the cross should never have been allowed to come into our penalty area in the first place. It was a series of mistakes.

The first requirement of a CH is to win what JR calls 'first contacts', and Maguire doesn't win enough of them. At this level he can go for weeks without being troubled and he looks good. It will be interesting to observe what Halifax do tonight.
