Unattached Jermaine Pennant signs for Bury, could he have done a job for us, probably still half decent at 34.

I wouldn't bother personally.

Local connections though - his mother worked at a rub-a-tug shop in Heanor.

I reckon he'll be more hindrance than help to Bury. Had the footballing world at his feet as a teenager but hadn't the attitude to make good on his potential. I was glad to see Bury signed him as I reckon it increases our chances of finishing above them.
These go to eleven.

Last playing in Singapore, which probably says a lot, and left when he refused to take a pay cut which his team mates agreed to. So playing in a crap standard and being a big headed idiot...cracking signing!!

Because his contract ran out three days ago with last club.

Didn't he once forget he had a Porsche and left it some where for half a year or so. Something like that anyway.

We're on the verge of getting rid of SEB.

Not sure we need another lazy sod with a bad attitude.

"In January 2011 Pennant's Porsche Turbo with his personal number plate was found abandoned at a railway station in Zaragoza with five months' worth of parking tickets. He was reported to have forgotten he owned the car."

To be fair, we've all been there, haven't we?

He had the potential to be a great footballer when his career first got going but never really fulfilled it and his career didnt really take off and get going but he is vastly experienced which is most probably why bury have took him on. I can't see him doing much there to be honest think he might be past it

Pennant probably is past it but I would bet diamonds he can still put a better ball into the box than any of our wide players.

Is Pennant the player who gave it the big "I am" on holiday once trying to but in on a girl and her bf only to get a good hiding when he found out the bf was a good amateur boxer?

Two players who had bags of quality but failed to make a real name for themselves when boa morte was at Fulham he did okay but when I think he went to West ham he couldn't get in the team and his career was almost over no club wanted him from what I can remember...
