A bit of "intel" from a pal who's worked at Wycombe for a while:

We've had to show respect to you lot as you've done well recently. You're not the pushovers from earlier in the year. We'll be frustrating you and have our own ideas going forward but there won't be much space to play in. We can't afford to lose ground to those teams around us, so a point is fine; delighted to take all 3.

Word is getting round, and much like Jack is asking - the team is getting better every time it takes the field. No cause for alarm that we aren't in front right now.

Agreed. And as Azul intimates, Jack has done wonders with his resources but there’s a limit to what he can do (remember he’s still very inexperienced as a manager). If some of you don’t like to accept that, too bad, but I’m not criticising SJL. If anyone could get anything from this game , from this season, one in which he has created hope ina season without any before - he’s the one!

Wright was right. The squad - despite the huge upturn in performances under lester - is very unbalanced and needs 4 or 5 players bringing in, especially out wide. I would have given my right arm to be in touching distance of three/ four other clubs by Christmas.
