I’ve got to applaud Chris O’Grady for his performance today, he could quite easily sit on the bench and claim his large pay packet like SEB did but when he came on he showed a real hunger and desire. I must admit I thought he was I waste of money but if he can produce that on a consistent basis I think he could be a real asset.

Gave us another option, held it up well and brought midfield runners into the game.
With injuries mounting up 2 up top could be an option with Ogrady and Dennis

I'd play him in the hole behind Dennis.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Ideally Rowley should be in that position causing problems to the oppositions defence

No way. No pace, no movement. Not a good position.

Rowley is learning, but is still a work in progress, he gives the ball away far too much still, and his crossing is erratic at best, .. but he's not afraid to keep trying, one day he will be worth a few quid.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

Ok. No pace.....I agree.
No movement?......That’s unfair. In every match he’s played for us he has run both channels, won knock ons in the centre and held his own against some brutish defenders.
Today should give him more confidence now cos he changed the course of that game today.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

But in answer to the OP, him becoming a #10 is a million miles off. He did well today holding the ball up and bringing others into play. He is still immobile.

Chris O'Grady as a CAM?! I can't see it! I wouldn't mind a 442 but I'm not sure we have tbe quality in the middle to stop teams. Even as a 5 across the middle we often seem easy to go through

The right man for the right job today
We were crying out for hold up play at the business end of the pitch. He came on, did that fantastically and his introduction won us the match. Changed the game.

O'Grady made a difference today and I thought he played very well against Man City.

With the personnel we have at our disposal, at least until January, Jack has found a system which is currently working so I can't really see him changing it much.

However, if O'Grady is to start it has to be in a "two up top" whatever the formation behind.

You could argue that after changing today's game,O'Grady is currently the difference between us being in or out of the drop zone. Good on him for sticking with it
These go to eleven.

I agree he has a lack of pace but his strength is second to none, I hope he gets a chance to show his worth. I’m hoping he gets a run in the side if he can consistently play like that and well done to Jack realising he’d made a mistake with Briggs. I’m very disappointed about Kellet as he’s really upped his game and was a really good link between the midfield and the forward line. What did people think about the new keeper?

A lot of the stick O'Grady gets is from those who hear the rumours of his reputed wage, which I think whatever the actual figure is is probably way too much for this division, well done Dot Cotton, and the fact he doesn't score at least a hat trick a game, when his effort, strength and hold up play is usually very good.
East stand second class citizen.

Fair play the man, he must hear the grioans from the crowd expecting him to score a goal a game but instead of getting demoralised he bides his time and comes on and puts a performance like that in. Let’s remember it’s not his fault the club offered him what ever wage he is on, would anyone blame him looking for the highest wage he could get, we’d all do the same. Let’s forget his wage, get off his back and I’m sure he can do the business.

When we are faced with a team of mostly big bruisers, we need a strong hold up player like Chris as we are desperately short of that type of player in the team.

He may lack pace but makes up for it with strength.
