I agree he has a lack of pace but his strength is second to none, I hope he gets a chance to show his worth. I’m hoping he gets a run in the side if he can consistently play like that and well done to Jack realising he’d made a mistake with Briggs. I’m very disappointed about Kellet as he’s really upped his game and was a really good link between the midfield and the forward line. What did people think about the new keeper?

Not sure about the new keeper when he seemed to flap at a long corner and put the ball back into danger when he had gone outside his far post

On the plus side he can deal with back passes equally well with both feet although his goal kicks are generally not accurate enough yet when playing the ball out wide

Having said that until Ogrady came on long kicks down the middle were meat and drink to the tall Barnet central defenders so one could see why Dawson had obviously been told to kick the ball wide

But as Jack said Dawson played his part in a winning team and we did not concede 2 goals in the match this time!!!!

Rowley is learning, but is still a work in progress, he gives the ball away far too much still, and his crossing is erratic at best, .. but he's not afraid to keep trying, one day he will be worth a few quid.

If Rowley is played more centrally then his erractic crossing as you put it is generally not needed but his ability to run with the ball and to find a player with a pass comes more into play dont you think

In Jack we trust so its his call of course

I was impressed with Rowley today, he’s clearly not a winger and would be better more central but I think we’ve got a real talent on our hands, let’s not forget how young he is, he will get stronger and better as he matures.

Rowley was really VERY good & certainly impressed the Sheff Wed coach I was with! Couldn’t believe he was as young as he was

He was the right kind of player against that opposition. We were too nice first half and they were really really terrible. Wasting time, rolling around on the floor etc and just generally hoofing to all and sundry they deserved what they got and think they’ll go down on the showing.

Holding his hamstring for last 20 but we’d used all subs. Watch him pull up after the chance he had near the end

As you say he was stretching and I immediately though hamstring but after the added time goal celebration he was being treated for cramp.

I shall defer to CPS as to whether that is good treatment for a hamstring

It was obvious that Rowley was unable to run at full pace in the second half. There were several through balls that he just couldn't run onto with a burst of pace, and the defenders repeatedly got there first. I hope it was just a bit of cramp, but it's worrying, especially in the light of our mounting casualty list.

I thought he looked knackered as well as the fact he was having one of those days where not a lot went right for him. If we hadn't lost Kellett and Barry to injury I suspect Jack would have taken him off. The main thing was that he was still putting a shift in and didn't let his head drop despite nothing coming off for him.

I would say the reason the left back (Andre Blackman) got there first, he was inherently a much faster sprinter than our Joe.

It was either that, or Joe wasn't at full pace for some reason. The LB definitely looked quicker than Joe towards the end of the game.

Fair play to him if he's put in a decent game, REAL credit to Jack for motivating him as when I've seen O'Grady he's been terrible with really low work rate.

Lets hope he puts a few more performances like Saturdays in so we can sell him / give him away in Jan.

Who invented "playing in the hole"? Had he ever seen a hole?"

Mind you there used to be a hole in the Blue Fly at Barrow Hill, but it was quite difficult to play in.

As for Joe Rowley, if he'd got genuine natural pace, do you really think he'd be playing for us?

They had a few players who looked quicker than any of ours and I don't think we are giving them credit for that. They also had some strong lads in that team. I don't think they will go down. They have a tiny fan base but maybe their position within a large conurbation (available pool of players) and close proximity to many bigger clubs (convenient for loan players) helps them to punch above their weight ?

I think they will go down, they have one outlet and after Saturday's performance I hope they do go down. Cheats!
