Thought this deserves it's own thread.

Not a bad start for England. Vince and Stoneman getting off to decent innings despite not being massively rated, Vince will be fuming with his run out though he really should have got the maiden century.

Anyone catch of it last night? Bit the bullet and ordered BT sport after finding a discount code online for 50% off, missing out on the CL is one thing but not missing the Ashes too! Coverage isn't great though, miss the Sky Sports gang!!

Hopefully we kick on later tonight and get a good score on the board, Ali and Malan looked ind decent nick the last hour I caught this morning. Draw would be a cracking result at the Gabba, Aussies record is incredible there.

Good even start, both teams had chance to capitalise but will probably be happy at the end of the day. Massive first session tonight, quilt on the sofa again! Regarding the coverage I thought Boycott and the Aussies were ok, Swann was poor, and surprised to see him talking amicably with Pieterson at the end, anyone who's seen Swann speak at after dinner dos will know what I mean! And Vaughn did ok, shame but the missing Sky gang did take away from the coverage I watched!

Yep. We could yet be 250 all out and be well behind the game come the close. Alternatively we could get to 400+ and have them in bother themselves.

I'll stop up and watch some online stream for a bit with it starting half an hour earlier.

I'm hovering over the 'order' button for BT Sports. Half price for a year, extra fiver if you want HD (after 3 months).

£11.49 x 12 = £137.88 minimum. I'd rather not but it should be on within 15 mins....

I’m rather happy my brother in law has BT Sport and I’ve got his login for the app. Unlike sky go it lets you chromecast to tuectelly so I don’t have to watch it on my iPhone or iPad. Already pay enough for sky without forking out for bt as well.

I’ve also got his Netflix and Amazon prime logins so we’ll covered by his tv logins!

I'm paying half price the lot from Sky and wouldn't pay full price. I think if I took BT at full price on top of what I have without my discount it would be well over a hundred quid a month. If it was that or nothing I'd bin it.

Agree about BT Sport, like the football their coverage simply isn't as good as Sky Sports

Guessing they are taking feed from Channel 9 Australia and have drafted in the Radio 5/TMS team when they are not doing radio stints.

BTs coverage is ok - Damien Fleming is a dick though!

Interesting game on a very non Gabba pitch, 302 was a decent effort and great to see Vince, Stoneman and Malan show that they can score runs in Ashes cricket

A few early wickets tomorrow and we are in control

Yeah about £11.50 a month for 12 months. Assume it will go up after that but will just cancel it unless they let me renew at same price.

Channel
9 coverage with their own graphics and commentary team. You can tell at times they aren’t expecting the replays etc that happen.

Sky's pretty much redundant to me these days.

Other than 'Jeff' on a Sat'di afternoon there's nowt worth paying for.

Given the cricket and FA Cuo stuff BT ain't a bad option, either.

Too many replays of every Ashes incident, though, whilst I miss the Sky commentary team.

As for the first test? Smith's wicket's the key...

It’s a shame but I think Stokes would have made the difference for us in this test

Yep, massive loss in a tight first innings, Smith was the special player that was the difference, sadly no Stokes.
