It delayed his debut though, by much or not, it still resulted in a player for a different club not being able to play for a fault at our end.

I guess it was as he needed internaitonal clearance, and seemingly we delayed it, which i dont think is that much of an issue (how long did it take us to get clearance for Mendy to play?)

However, the charge is for falsyfying informaiton supplied, which suggests to me either someone tried to cover a previous mistake up or similar.

We will see.

I thought we didn't make mistakes?

Thing is Tim, 'alleged falsification of emails' doesn't sound like a mistake. That's deliberate.
I bet any potential new owners can't wait to get their cheque books out.

Be clear the charge isn't for making a mistake on paperwork, its for falsyfying paperwork.

Wow.

Does the article say that?

Yes,
'The Derbyshire Times understands the charge relates to an alleged falsification of emails regarding the release of defender Paul McGinn'

I was rushing when I read it first time but article appears longer so possibly been amended.

What would we have to gain here? Covering up an initial mistake?

Isn't there a date to that article like 15th September?

Hasn't McGinn already played for Thistle?

Surely, this is old news and any paperwork issues were sorted!!!!!

So, what's the point of this thread?

Think we now know.

Presumably she's been sacked. Shame really as I was told she was one of Ashley's favourites.

She has until the deadline to reply to the charge, then they'll deal with and punish accordingly.

I can't see the club acting until the FA charge is finalised, unless she's put on gardening leave.

"Shame really as I was told she was one of Ashley's favourites."

Now, now!

It seems to me she must have been put under pressure to make sure the deal was done, if she went ahead and falsified emails.

Well here's what I posted about Sally in July:

'I can't help feeling very sorry for Sally Swain.

I'm sure she's always performed what she thought was her role, what her superiors asked of her and had no idea that the accounts or invoices she processed might be in any way questionable.

Yeah she's done well for herself, gaining promotions and probably the pay, perks and privileges that accompany them. Yet I wonder if she realised her name would be regularly mentioned when former employees revealed scandalous events at the CFCFDS. I wonder if she realised she might one day be quizzed over allegedly illegal payments. I wonder if she realised her entire reputation may be on the line for simply doing what she was told.

Remembering the young, friendly, helpful lass that took my then five year old lad into the Town dressing room to collect autographs, I sincerely hope she doesn't become just the latest scapegoat...'

There is only one tinhat to blame if there are any major cockups and in my eyes and many others it won't be Sally.

I was looking for this very quote when I saw her named in the article. I'll see your "scapegoat" and raise you "cannon fodder". I really hope that a good name is not being damaged to protect somebody else.

Sally- Sally Swain?
Is she a real person- I always presumed she was like James Higgins a made up character in the Board's heads.
I sent emails and calls to her with never a response- I refuse to believe she is a real person

What next?
Can’t be many people left to take the Bunkum for others
Would love to know why the need to falsify emails
God help us if we get any points deduction as the FA may be getting fed up with the mistakes that keep on coming out
