Are we coming to the conclusion that Wrexham and Stockport are the bookies favourites, followed by the likes of Notts, the relegated teams and ourselves?

I think it sounds like the consensus is there will be 7 or 8 decent teams, probably a surprise or two and where we finish is still anybodies guess....

Isnt that why we love football??

Picking up on the Wrexham thing, has anyone else noticed that the BBC Football website writers must have assumed Wrexham are the certainties this coming season. On the National League page on their website Wrexham dominate their stories. I think half the first page focus on them , including that they have learned the season schedule!

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the top 4 sides (hopefully us included) amassing record points totals. It will be very, very close indeed, down to single point differences and potentially goal difference

We’re greedy though, 14 seasons since 1968-69 in tier 4 of the EFL resulting in promotion six times, with 4 as Champions means expectations are high when our ducks are in a row.

no conclusion to come to, Wrexham and Stockport are joint favourites at 4/1.

Notts next at 9/1
Us at 10/1
Grimsby/Southend at 11/1
Torquay 14/1
then 20/1 bar

The odds are always in favour of the house. Like you all say, you never know and there will be bumps in the road and plenty of twists and turns. I'm quietly confident we will do OK.

As for Wrexham being the favourites, let them do the shouting and for us to stay quiet and sing slow. Examples of spectacular failures at a slightly higher level include Knighton having grandiose plans at Carlisle. More recently, we had Sven and Sol over at Notts. As my father used to quote "I've heard ducks ***** in wet grass before..."

Spennymoor drew with wrexham today. Reckon they'll win the champions league.

9-1 the best current odds. The bookie I bet with are closing their sports ‘book’ so it seems my bet will be refunded at best.
These go to eleven.

Wrexham’s odds will shorten further when they appoint Ted Lasso.
These go to eleven.
