Happy to explain the rules
Your team name is just your Bobs Board username e.g. mine is Benno Spire
All participants join a league where there will be maximum of 16 players in each league. Each person will go head to head with each player in that league so a total of 15 head to head games in each stage. The lowest league may have less than 16 so some may play each other twice to get in the 15 games.
The completion is split into 3 stages during the season to help maintain interest and the top 2 from each league being promoted and the bottom 2 getting relegated at the end of each stage.

For each round there will be 10 games to predict the score. I always post up to 4 extra games to predict just in case there are any cancellations which due to Covid and weather can happen. The extra games are added from the top one down as a game is postponed, I will post on the round thread to confirm which games comes into play. When you do your predictions you pick two games as your bankers which can earn you double points.

I will use Chesterfields last home game against Dagenham to explain the scoring. The game finished 2-1.

I you correctly predicted 2-1 you get 3 points for that game
If you predicted any other home win score e.g. 1-0,2-0,3-0,3-1 etc then you score 1 point
If you had predicted any score that was a draw or away win you would get 0 points for that game.
If you had selected the game as your banker you double what you scored.
so 3 becomes 6
1 becomes 2
0 becomes a wasted banker

I then count up the scores from all 10 active games you predict to get your score for the round. I then compare this with your head to head opponent for that round. Whoever gets the most points gets a 3 point win, if the scores are the same both get 1 point in a draw and the loser gets 0 points.
There is 1 bonus point awarded for the highest scoring player in each round in each division. If more than one player gets the highest score each person with the high score gets a bonus point.
These points are entered into the league table and positions are based on points gained in each round. i post up the league tables afrom round 3 and each week so you can see where you are in the league. If players are level on the same points then position is determined by prediction points scored.

Predictions must be submitted before a game kicks off, once the game kicks off any unsubmitted entries for that game will be voided.
any submitted predictions can not be changed after the first game kicks off. There is is usually a range of different kick off times so if you miss any of the first games you can still predict for games that have not kicked off and still use your 2 bankers.

The main thing a player has to do is submit their predictions for the selected games including their bankers. If you are new, wait to see how the seasoned pros submit their predictions to see how it is done.

Once you have submitted your predictions, just sit back and watch the scores over a round to see how you are doing compared to your head to head opponent but beware many games can swing significantly on late goals on the last game as i have experienced myself.

All of the planning and scoring is done by me but I always ask you to check your score and let me know if i get your score wrong as I do them all manually and sometimes human error does occur.

Banter and taking the Mickey out of your opponents is encouraged as good natured fun. The key thing to remember with this completion is is JUST FOR FUN!! and of course personal pride on going promoted and avoiding relegation. Players have progressed very quickly from division 4 to Division 1 and also the other way.
