Hope JR will play some 1st Teamers. There will be a big following from Chesterfield and its a great occasion. Dont want to end up watching our Youth team.

We don’t have a youth team or any young players for that matter - everyone who is fit will get a game

what do people want from pre-season? for me i don't really like it when i hear managers just talk about minutes on the pitch and fitness, i know it is a lot about that but i want to see us set down some markers, a signal of intent for what is to come, i want to see us put teams away that we should put away and then raise our game against side we should on paper lose to.

Raising your game and going gung ho probably results in injuries at this stage. Wins are good for confidence but the only result that will matter is the Aldershot game as that will set the tone

Everyone getting a game in the earlier games, good passing and movement with some hint of our shape he latter games. Something we haven’t had in the last couple of years. Hopefully theses games against U23 teams will be announced soon.

Don't know about the dogs, but you can get the very best fish & chips for miles around at the Matlock Green fish bar a short stroll from the ground.

There are often dogs at Matlock games, they post a lot of photos on their twitter of them.

Sometimes they used do a great BBQ in corner of the terracing - nice burgers (even if they thought i was weird wanting brown sauce on a Cheese Burger!)

Good curry place on the corner near ground though :)

They usually let dogs in. Food wise Matlocks pubs aren’t the best but Gate at Tansley is good and Duke of Wellington also do food at the top of Matlock.

Would echo the chippy shout though
