If it was permanently closed I would have thought they’d have removed all the Wetherspoons signage and info which is clearly still there.

I've heard Wetherspoons let the lease lapse and it won't be reopening

IMO we should get a home game against Sheff U to get some money in and then the rest should be winnable games to get early season confidence as winning games becomes a good habit.Selfishly I would like a couple of games in Scotland please so a bit of a trip but in the present climate probably not a good idea this year.

Just noticed that the Scottish League appear to be starting their League Cup group stage in the middle of July! Our late start would probably mean any "plum" home games will be early doors or against higher clubs' U-21 teams. We might do well to get anyone on the Saturday before we start.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

I believe a home friendly v Sheff U is part of the deal to let their U23's and Women play here

Bradford City and friendly are words that don't go together.
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Lockdown has been put back to 19th July so Im guessing we wont be allowed as many tickets as we would have liked for the Matlock Game. Shame as its a great day out. Not sure what we will be allocated if any !!!! Could be no away fans allowed. Matlock Town Fan who posts on BB may be able to shed some light on this.

We should be okay if the unlocking goes to plan, it's the Alfreton game that would face restrictions

Just in case things don’t go to plan if I was Matlock I’d be selling 600 tickets in person or on line like they were last year and if restrictions are lifted, just make it pay on the day. They’ll have enough notice

In the latest "we are sailing podcast" it is stated there will be no fans at Alfreton because it's prior to the planned "freedom day", fairly sure this will not be the case although there will be a limit.

Why would we have done anything with Villa for Clarke? They’ve released him so he’s signing as a free agent.

He's under 24, does that mean we have to pay some sort of Development fee?

Maybe they liked how we dealt with everything so much they're letting us have a good look at their decent players to loan?
Here we go again!

Wouldn’t have thought so as they’ve released him.

Not sure if Rowe is referring to the loan deal or this deal when he says :-

“I would like to thank Aston Villa for their support and co-operation in enabling us to sign Jack and we look forward to our pre-season friendly with their U23 side in August.”
